The escaped bees were not her fault...well, okay, so Olivia Ashfield did fall on their hives and they did severely sting a man and a dog, leaving Owen Rancourt without his trusty assistant and his best search-and-rescue dog. The rugged loner wanted revenge!

But what was an heiress to a bakery fortune to do -- other than to say, "Let him eat cake"?

Unfortunately, that wasn't an option for Olivia. She couldn't slink back home or she'd lose the bet she'd made with her brother: to fend for herself for eight weeks. So, she had to persuade Owen to hire her as his assistant. The workload was daunting, but her incredibly good-looking boss made small-town Danby just the place to get stung...by love!

Oliver was a spoinled "rich girl" whose brother dared her to change her life by driving in an old car instead of her Jaguar and going away to fend for herself for a few months. She agreed to this chalenge but know nothing about everything--working and even living on her own! Every attempt she tried failed and backfired for Olivia until Owen came along to try to bail her out.
They fell in love but Owen was in denial becasue of her past. Do you think Owen will come to his senses?
This was a quick and enjoyable read!

Olivia Ashfield who is an heiress and seems can't do much of anything makes a bet with her brother to go somewhere where no one knows her, get a job and make her own way for 8 weeks. Olivia went through a number of jobs and messed them all up, her last resort was Owen Rancourt who felt sorry for her and needed a temporary replacement for his employee who she happened to put in the hospital by accident. Does an heiress ever learn how the other half live?

Light read, nice development of chemistry and the heroine stood up for herself so it was great. The hero was not a Neanderthal and Liv did not give up on challenges so it was great overall. It put a big smile on my face. Highly cliche though like most of Silhouette novels.

I liked this cute and amusing book. One of the highlights is that the h had character growth and self reflection several times throughout the novel, which was nice as many books seem to have these revalations in the last chapter.
