Sweet-Talkin’ Mavericks I love the first book of the Montana Mavericks: The Anniversary Gift. I enjoyed being introduced to the town of Branco and how it’s residents. I am looking forward to getting to know the people of Branco and the ranches that surround them. We are introduced to Robin from the Bonnie B and Dylan from the Broken Road Ranch. If a great first book for the Montana Mavericks: The Anniversary Gift.
Dylan Sanchez is the last single one in the family, and Robin Abernathy has had a crush on him forever. But a plot by his family to have a Valentine's day Bake Off at his car dealership brings Robin into register, even though her baking skill leave something to be desired. But even though there's a spark, they agree to be friends, because, well, he's a Sanchez from the other side of town, and she's an Abernathy. The very little mystery is a missing pearl necklace, given by the Mayor to his wife at a town wide anniversary party.
I know these are romances, but the trope I really don't like is the one where someone, or everyone in a person's family conspires to force him/her into close proximity with their choice of spouse for that person. I really don't like this trope.
