He did a good of balancing accessibility and intellectual depth/rigor. Glad to find Modern Scholar because I find the professor who does most of the classical music material for Teaching Company to be extremely annoying.

Not sure who his audience is intended to be. Sometimes it felt like he was talking to the non-musical. Other times, I only understood what he said because of my years in music classes.
