Winter Harbor Heroes

The Matchmaking Heirs: First Christmas in Winter Harbor

Rate this book
It’s the Winters brothers first Christmas in Winter Harbor!
They’ve reconciled, found love, found a purpose and are winning over the hearts of the townspeople. What more could they ask for?

Perhaps even an inkling of an idea what to get their better half for Christmas for starters.

And now they’ve been tasked with a matchmaking quest that seems downright impossible. Maribel has put it on the brothers and their lady loves to help widow Drucilla Crombie finally get the man she’s pined over for nearly sixty years. But old Mr. Gentry is oblivious and ornery and, according to Maribel, would need a map and a compass to find the nose on his own face, so he’s completely hopeless when it comes to love.

Now, it’s up to Callum, Carson, Colton and their women to help bring the two Winter Harborites together once and for all. But it won’t be easy. And if that’s not hard enough, there’s a journalist in Summer Hills hell-bent on dragging the Summers and Winters family names through the mud. So they need to figure out what his problem is and put a stop to it before things escalate and ruin Christmas for everyone.

Get ready for hijinks, laughter, swoony moments, and one unforgettable Christmas in the quirky small coastal town of Winter Harbor, Oregon as the brothers and their loves unravel mysteries, play matchmakers and sneak moments under the mistletoe for the first time ever.

A Canadian West Coast baby born and raised, Whitley is married to her high school sweetheart and together they have two beautiful daughters and a fluffy dog. She spends her days making food that gets thrown on the floor, vacuuming Cheerios out from under the couch and making sure that the dog food doesn't end up in the air conditioner. But when the kids are at school and it's not quite wine o'clock, Whitley sits down, avoids the pile of laundry on the couch, and writes.

A lover of all things decadent; wine, cheese, chocolate and spicy erotic romance, Whitley brings the humorous side of sex, the ridiculous side of relationships and the suspense of everyday life into her stories. With single dads, firefighters, Navy SEALs, mommy wars, body issues, threesomes, bondage and role-playing, Whitley’s books have all the funny and fabulously filthy words you could hope for.

It’s the first Christmas for the brothers in Winter Harbor and they’re trying to come up with extraordinary gifts for the women in their lives.
Adding to the Christmas spirit is a challenge to get two old friends together under the mistletoe, an article bringing up some old history in the newspaper, a town party to be held at the Manor and another mystery involving a ring discovered behind the Hobbit Door.
A lovely Christmas story which brings everyone together and highlights the need for family and friends to come together to help each other. I enjoyed reading this and would recommend it without hesitation.

"The Matchmaking Heirs" by Whitley Cox and Ember Leigh is a charming holiday novella featuring the Winters brothers (Callum, Carson, and Colton) and the women they love as they celebrate Christmas in Winter Harbor. For maximum enjoyment, I'd recommend reading the couples' individual stories prior to this one.

Now that the renovations to their ancestral estate are finally complete, the Winters clan is looking forward to spending their first Christmas together as a family. They've just brought home the perfect Christmas tree when Amaya's Aunt Maribel stops by to ask them to help her play matchmaker for a couple of the town's senior citizens, Bernard Gentry and Drusilla Crombie. They decide to throw a small Christmas Eve party to bring the two together, but the guest list quickly spirals out of control as word of the party spreads.

Meanwhile, Lily, Colton, and Harlow are busy dealing with the fallout of a defamatory newspaper article about the Summers and Winters families that threatens Lily's new position as mayor of Winter Harbor. After everything they've done to repair their families' reputations and prove their commitment to the local community, they're not about to let these unfair accusations stand. Can they figure out who's really behind the article and put a stop to the attacks once and for all?

I completely adored this funny, sweet, and perfectly steamy story. Reading it felt like coming home and spending time with old friends. It was wonderful to see each of the couples so happy together after everything they'd been through, and I also loved the teasing interactions between the brothers. Their relationship has improved so much since the series began!

I highly recommend "The Matchmaking Heirs" for all steamy contemporary romance fans. Hopefully the authors will collaborate again in the future - maybe on stories for Lily's sisters? ;-)

It's always amazing to have a new book from the authors you love and to top it all, it's even amazing to have a book with all your favorite characters together.
Whitley Cox and Ember Leigh have written this amazing series and they gave us a glimpse that they were writing a new book I was ecstatic.
The Matchmaking Heirs is their latest release and it's the fourth book from the Winter Harbor Heroes Series.
Have you by any chance read the first three books?
If you have, you know why I'm so happy about this new book, but if you haven't, I totally advise you to read them, or this new book, will not make any sense.
This book gives us the three brothers and their girlfriends together again, and they are always conjuring new stuff to do together, so, why not a Christmas party? so...
This novella was perfect. A quick story to lighten up my mood and make me smile from hear to hear.
These characters are perfect and the matchmaking they did... priceless.
Loved how the story progressed and I'm sad because it ended so soon.
It was a short story, packed with tons of love, friendship, and hot stuff as well.
Loved every single chapter and I want more.
Perfect story Whitley and Ember.
You guys rock.

"The Matchmaking Heirs" is a delightful novella that brings the magic of Christmas and the joy of matchmaking to life. Filled with bucket loads of banter, this heartwarming tale embarks on a quest to bring love to our oldest residents. The story beautifully weaves together the lives of wonderful Lilly and Colton, Callum and Harlow, and Anaya and Carson.

As the story unfolds, the addition of drama from the enigmatic Griffin Zwickau adds an extra layer of excitement. However, the real highlight is the banter among the characters as they embark on a quest to find unique Christmas presents for their loved ones. These two authors' knack for delivering on-point one-liners and creating laugh-out-loud moments adds a layer of merriment to the tale, making it a very merry read indeed.

"The Matchmaking Heirs" is a perfect blend of festive cheer, heartwarming romance, and humorous escapades. The authors have crafted a story that captures the spirit of the season and leaves readers with a warm and fuzzy feeling. It's a delightful addition to the holiday reading list, offering a perfect escape into a world where love, laughter, and Christmas magic abound.

The story has laughs, pain, secrets, and heartbreak.

The below are part of this series if you want to read those books(s) first
The Bastard Heir (Winter Harbor #1) by Ember Leigh & Whitley Cox
The Asshole Heir by Ember Leigh & Whitley Cox
The Rebel Heir (Winter Harbor Heroes #3) by Whitley Cox & Ember Leigh

This more of the Winter’s brothers and their woman as they get ready for the holiday. They have been tasked with getting an older couple together. While they are at it they must also get the shopping down for themselves for the holiday. If these brothers can find there other half so can Mr. Gentry. It might just be a miracle if they can do it. But they need to help Drucilla who has loved Mr. Gentry forever. While all this is going down some journalist is trying to drag them threw the mud. Can they try and play matchmaker, put a stop to the crazy and have a truly wonderful Christmas or is it about to be ruined?

I recommend this book.

What a wonderful Holiday Romance. If you have kept up with the Winters brothers you know this is their first Christmas season not only at Winter Harbor but also with their ladies. Having won over the town and found love the brothers are tasked with matchmaking an elderly woman, Ms. Drucillal, with the man of her dreams, Mr. Gentry, at the request of Maribel. Trust me it won’t be an easy feat getting those two together. Throw is a journalist who is trying to get ahead in life no matter he’s tasked to do, even at the expense of publishing articles that aren’t exactly true about The Summers and Winters families along with what on heart the 6 lovebirds are going to buy their significant others and life at Winter Harbor is a crazy merry mess this holiday season.

I highly recommend this delightful holiday romance. It’s funny, sassy and oh so romantic.

A couple of my favorite authors bring us up to date on how the Winter Brothers are faring on their task of earning their estate by living with one another even though they have nothing but their parentage in common. Actually, they've done very well: they've finished the complete rehab of the falling down mansion they had to live in together and they have not only learned to get along but have slowly managed to turn the folks of WINTER HARBOR from haters to friends, acquiring very helpful girl friends along the way. So much so that the small party to play matchmaker for the couple Anabelle has challenged them to accomplish has turned into a very well attended open house for the whole town and it seemed that love matches were blossoming everywhere. You'll enjoy this story better if you read the first three books: The Bastard Heir, The Asshole Heir, and the Rebel Heir.

Christmas is a wonderful time of the year, but it can be a challenging time as well. This story allows us to spend time with Colton, Callum and Carson as well as the women who have stolen their hearts as they plan a family Christmas like never before.

As they struggle to find perfect and meaningful gifts for each other they have also been recruited to help a couple of long-term residents realize that they are meant to be together since they have all found their love and happy ever after. If that isn’t enough to balance, there is also an intrusive reporter who doesn’t care who they hurt by their intrusive actions.

This story has it all between the magic of the holiday season, the romance and love between the couples and the family and a few challenges that prove once again if they have each other they can overcome anything.

This is the fourth book in the Winter Harbor Heroes series and readers are in time to celebrate with the Winters brothers as they plan to spend their first Christmas together as a family. It is a joy to be back in Winter Harbor and as the renovations are complete, the brothers are opening up their home to demonstrate good will and that the past should be left in the past where it belongs. Adding to the charm is the ask for the brothers and their wives to help bring together two of the town’s senior citizens. Reading this book feels like coming home and spending time with family and hearing all of the juicy tidbits as you are able to catch up. It is a sweet, funny, witty and full of love storyline that is the perfect ending to a cast of characters that have worked their way into readers hearts.

Have loved reading this series & it was lovely to catch up with how Callum, Colton, Carson, Amaya, Lily & Harlow have been getting on getting ready for their first Christmas together.
Amaya's Aunt Maribel has tasked them with a matchmaking mission between two of the towns seniors Mr Gentry & Drusilla Crombie so arrange for Christmas party with the aim to get these to lovely people together.
Although as usual not everything is as easy for them in Winter Harbour when they find themselves in the newspaper with false accusations against the Summers and Winters families & they set about finding out who us responsible for the article & prove them wrong.
In this story we have love, steam, good & bad surprises, laughter, tears & a bit of drama along the way.
Once you start reading this I promise you won't want to put it down.

5 Star Review of The Matchmaking Heirs: First Christmas in Winter Harbor (Winter Harbor #3) by Whitley Cox & Ember Leigh

I love my visits to Winter Harbor and being back for Christmas just added to my happiness.

I love stories set around the holidays, it’s a time for family and friends to come together and celebrate; none more so than the Winter brothers.

This book had me smiling and laughing as they struggle with gift ideas for their significant others and family.

Add in a quest to help matchmake some friends Drucilla Crombie and Mr. Gentry and you have an entertaining story that ticked all the boxes for me.

Full of love, family, romance, and drama it was wonderful being back with the Winter’s. This book certainly got me in the mood for the holidays.

Whitley Cox & Ember Leigh have come together to give us readers another delightful story in the Winter Harbor Heroes that left a huge smile on my face. Our resident brothers are doing their best to find some amazing presents for their significant others & the struggle is real for them on this quest. On top of that, they got their matchmaking on for an older couple who definitely gave them a run for their money which had me laughing quite a bit at all the shenanigans throughout, plus, there was even a mystery kicker to add even more perfection to this story. All of this goodness was tied up in a Christmas magic bow that put me in the Christmas spirit so everyone needs it in their lives! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The Matchmaking Heirs is a heart-warming, novella-length Christmas story that reads almost like an extended epilogue to the Winter Harbor Heroes series. We catch up with the three couples and their extended families living their best HEAs, complete with sexy times, as they prepare for their first holiday season in town. It's a wonderfully heart-warming book with all the Christmas vibes and moments of sugar and spice. Not one, but two stand-alone sub-plots add to the story and serve to make this a great holiday read and introduction for those new to the series.
I was lucky to have received an advanced copy from the authors and am leaving this review voluntarily and honestly.

This is the fourth book in this series, and what an amazing story this is.
This is the Winter brothers first Christmas in Winter Harbor, where they have reconciled, found love, and have a purpose in life, while winning over the townspeople. Colton and Lilly, Callum and Harlow, and Carson and Anaya, find the magic of Christmas and the joy of matchmaking, with laugh out loud results.
This is a well written easy to read story, with drama, matchmaking, romance, humor, witty banter, mystery, an unforgettable Christmas, and love, which leads to an entertaining, magical, and heartwarming page turner.
I look forward to reading more from these talented authors’ whose work I highly recommend.

What a fun visit in Winter Harbour! With all the brothers settled in the house with the love of their lives and their place in the community finally established, the brothers are quested with making a match for two people who should have been together years ago. Their solution to make this happen is
to throw a party for the whole town. Funny, sexy, steamy and a good time is to be have by all. It was fun returning to Oregon and I wished we could have more. A story you won't be able to put down, another winner for Whitley and Ember!

A fan of this series will love this holiday tale. I love we get points of view from all the characters. Such a joy to see them in the HEAs!!! It's not all sunshine and rainbows this holiday season because these brothers and their ladies have a few kinks to work out. They need to put their matchmaking caps on all the while unraveling a mystery of who wants to tarnish their names. Such a great book! I couldn't put it down. I truly loved seeing them enjoying their first Christmas in the manor. A must read!

Nothing better than catching up with characters we fell in love with before - especially at the holidays. With this being the first Christmas in Winter Harbor the Winter brothers open their house to the town to show that good things are on the horizon and that the past needs to stay in the past all while trying to bring two individuals together. This book was filled with wonderful interactions, heart warming holiday gifts and the true meaning of family and love in the season.

What a great holiday read with the Winters and Summers family. I love all the Winters men and the love they have for their women. I love the family including the town in their holiday festivities and making a new path for their generation. Sticking together to combat the naysayers and doing a little matchmaking to bring two hearts together for the holiday season. The sparks, chemistry and steam are still in each relationship. I really enjoyed this book.

The first Christmas in Winter Harbor was everything I hoped for and more. I loved catching up with all the brothers and the ladies that stole their hearts. This story was filled with happiness, positivity and the magic touch of Christmas. A story and characters that will fill your heart with love and warmth. Let's also not forget with the Winter boys the will ensure they also bring the heat and the steam to the festive season.

Winter Harbor is such a wonderful place to go visit whenever I need to take some "Me" time and see what the Winter and Summer families have been up to. This time was no different, other than the Winters men have taken on a very unusual request, and have agreed to play matchmaker to two elderly residents, by Christmas. Let the hilarity begin! A pure joy to read, and it definitely gets one in the mood for Christmas. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

I couldn't imagine living in the same house with three (very active) couples, a puppy and a baby. The confusion alone sounds daunting. But somehow, the addition of a holiday, the expectation of the perfect gift and a challenge all coalesce into a heart-warming story of family, love and life. Winter Harbour may not be prepared to deal with the crazy antics of a family determined to set past wrongs right and to find the happiness for all those in their sphere.

Seeing these three brothers again warms my heart. I loved all their stories the first time but seeing how they come together for others is amazing. Reading the series is really not necessary but so beneficial that I recommend it. Nothing brings me in the holiday spirit better than a holiday book. And this not only has the town holiday marketplace with an honest to goodness Santa that used to be a grinch but a matchmaking scheme that may go sideways. Loved it all!

I absolutely loved seeing these couples again and how things are going for them and needless to say there were plenty of laughs and of course steamy moments. The fact this was all their first Christmas together and the nerves to get just the right present for each other was sweet to see and add on that they are requested to be matchmakers was perfect and they weren't letting a pesky reporter get in the way!

A trip back to Winter Harbor brought more hard work and more togetherness for Callum, Colton, Carson, Amaya, Lily, and Harlow. Tasked with bringing a couple together and trying to get the right gifts for each other, they learned more about themselves and the townspeople. This was a fun story with moments of happy tears and wellbeing. I recommend this story.

It was so much fun returning to Winter Harbor and checking with our couples after they've gotten their happy ending. The every day part of life, preparing for the holidays and trying to find that perfect gift. Throw in a little matchmaking for a couple of elderly residents and The Matchmaking Heirs hit all the right notes.

There's a little bit of ugh drama but most of the drama in this holiday romance is just fun and chaotic and just about what you'd expect from our 3 favorite couples.

What a fun holiday story. It is well written with wonderful characters. This story definitely put me in a holiday spirit. The Winter brothers are having a Christmas open house party and trying their hand at matchmaking. What fun!! What could go wrong?? You’ll love catching up with all the couples. It isn’t necessary to read all the books in the series but you’ll definitely want to read them all. Loved this story!!
