Queues Carl Thomas 🎶 “It was love at first sight. I knoooooow from the way she looked at me” 🎶 Ayeeeeeee *insert two step*! This was a cute Insta love story and I really enjoyed Big Meech (not the little one) and Nina’s journey to HEA!
Demetrius “Meech” Bennet was the HNIC, the king pin that ran the streets and was respected and feared by all. Unfortunately he got caught slipping and had to do a 7 yeah bid in the federal penitentiary. Newly released and back like he’s never left, Meech is enjoying his welcome home party that the whole city came out for at an exclusive club. He had no idea that his world would be forever changed after locking eyes with Nina.
Nina is a laid back, stay out of the way type of woman. She’s very much into living a soft life free from drama. Suffering from extreme anxiety, her peace means the world to her and she guards it at all cost. After her BFF Amber convinces her to party the night away she reluctantly agrees and has no idea that her yes would lead her to her forever love!
Nina and Meech were inseparable from the moment they met and the way he showered her with love and affection was beautiful to read about! I really enjoyed their story and the only reason that I didn’t give it 5 stars was because it was predictable. Still a great story but everything that happened even the minor drama was expected. This was my second read by Talena and so far she’s 2-0! I look forward to more from her in the future!
Sidenote: Nice touch with the book title! Just like the Beyoncé song, it gave me all the feels 🥰

Miss Talena! Meech had me at hello too! Got me daydreaming about being with a bad boy and ish! 😂! Whew! 🔥 These two meeting had to be ordained! Cause honey after they laid eyes on each other, it was a wrap for anyone else thinking they could shoot their shot! Meech had just barely exhaled into his freedom, and here comes this beauty to shake up his world! Meech was a good man, looking out for his dad, and needed that fast cash. Unfortunately, it sat him down for a minute; but nothing stops ole Money Meech. Until Miss Nina! ❤️ I loved how she was so introverted, and not much moved her. That made her that much more interesting to Meech. When she called him Papi, I knew then she had him just where she wanted him. 😂 Meech was so sweet to Nina and wanted to give her the world. Now, Nina gurl…… you should know the game by now! You don’t let another woman tell you nothing about yo’ man! 🤬 Meech???? But Nina surprised me with them hands! Halle ain't stand a chance! 😂 I knew Meech would work things out sooner rather than later. I wish there was more, and I hope we see these two again soon. Really enjoyed this! 👍👍👍

After doing some time in the pen, Meech was out to celebrate. What he didn’t expect was to meet and fall for her. Meech came and turned Nina’s life upside down in the best way possible. He saw her and said he had to have her and immediately started to pursue her. Nina’s life was peaceful and quiet and little mundane. Then walks in Money Meech. These two were immediately smitten. I loved their little journey to love. Though the drama wasn’t over the top, it was still there nonetheless. This was a short and enjoyable read.

So sweet and cute….
This was the best quick read that I have ever experienced. I usually don’t like novella because since they tend to be short, extremely short stories, somewhere within the book, a ball will definitely drop and the confusion and the unfulfilled feelings will happened and make me regret trying that type of book; buuuuut baby, this one was not that at all. It was fulfilling, exact, straight to the point and so well written, nothing was at miss.
Nina and Demetrius were so cute, specially Meech who turned a part of his life around for the better and grab the blessings god bestowed upon him. I truly wish I had an epilogue of a few years down the road, showing us a glimpse or an update on these two with the surrounding characters….

In one sitting , I quickly devoured this insta love romance 🥹. I really enjoyed my time with Nina and Meech child.
Meech is now one of my favorite book men. He stood on business from day one and was a man of his word. The way he showed Nina how he felt was so cute to read but he didn’t play no games AT ALL 😂 .
My girl Nina pissed me off one part with her silly self but I adored her as well. Her friendship with Amber was ride or die and I loved it 🫶🏾.

Sweet, insta love. Meech knew what he wanted, and didn't play about Nina. I loved their chemistry. I want more of them just because I loved them so much. This was a short read, but it did what it was supposed to do.

Love a magnetic connection and an all consuming and addictive love and that was what Meech and Nina gave. Nina’s hands and foot was properly introduced to Halle 😄 and rightfully so. But Nina annoyed me a little cause why won’t you at least hear what Meech had to say. A little drama and in the end that addictive love came through.

Y’all please give Miss Talena her flowers cause I surely am. I over LOVED this book. This book is truly a love loves book. Like I mean love at 1st sight, I fell hard af in a very short time. BIG MEECH not the little one, Meech and Nina saw each other and baby ain’t nobody else exist after that. The way they fell for each other had me cheesing and smiling soooo much my damn cheeks were hurting me. If imma put down cause we grown and ain’t nobody finna play games with you was a person it was Meech. But the best part for me was despite her anxiety especially her social anxiety, Nina let Meech in and he stepped. I mean BIG STEPPED! He applied pressure and locked my girl down. Nina, when you did what you did to Halle, just know I was rooting HARD for you cause she had US f’d up. TUH! That’s our man!!! Period!!! IF YOU DON’T LIKE cutesy, mushy, giving all the feels love stories, DO NOT READ this and ruin my book. Cause we just might have to tussle behind this one. You Had Me At Hello, yes! Yes! Yes! Every single time yes. A beautiful love story!!!! Must read for the big romantics out there. This one was a quick saucy read 🔥 Instant attraction was undeniable between Nina & Meech. Fresh out after doing a lengthy bid he could’ve been with multiple women but he only wanted Nina. The PRESSURE he applied was everything! Nina couldn’t resist him if she tried & she put up a half way decent fight when slight drama unfolded. I wish this was longer to see how their story further unfolds, however I liked this one. It had me locked in. 😏

One thing about Talena Tillman is she will definitely take me through it! My emotions were all over the place reading this book. I started out loving both of the main characters, and then bam, she threw me a curveball, and I was ready to flip a table 😂
Meech and Nina were definitely a match for one another. In the beginning, I loved them, and this continued throughout the majority of the book. Their storyline was top-tier and had me smiling as their love grew. Although I disagreed with a few of the decisions Meech made, Nina was my girl (until she wasn’t). I’m told I’m pro-male when reviewing books, and I can’t agree or disagree with that; what I can say is that these characters are created from the minds of geniuses, and Talena Tillman is definitely at the top of the list 🤨
I read everything this author drops, and I should know by now that she’s going to take me on a journey EVERY TIME! However, I still anxiously await her releases, knowing I won’t be disappointed, maybe irritated and emotionally drained, but in the end, I still enjoy every ride!

Definitely love at first sight! Demetrius & Nina made the perfect couple to me! Halle did deserve to get hands placed on her for the disrespect, but I did feel like Nina should have let Meech explain. Although short, this was a very good love story!

I realised that the only time I appreciate instalove/lust is with short stories. Otherwise keep that shit away from me.
The third person writing was unexpected but it was okay because the story was so short.
✓ pacing was fabulous for such a short story.
✓ loved the bde from Demetrius.
✓ loved Nina, just great vibes from her.
The Halle drama had me rolling my eyes so much they hurt. I would have been cool without it but it's fine none the less.
The "SSS" threw me off so bad y'all 😂 everytime I saw it I was like okay Nina we snakes now 😭 and I laughed so bad. I think those are my only qualms about the book. Otherwise I enjoyed it.
