This is a superb introduction to Blender’s value for web and video production — I especially appreciate the emphasis on it being free and open source. If you’re weighing options, it’s also worth checking out how Blender stacks up against Maya in professional pipelines (e.g. in the article here: Maya vs Blender: The Battle of 3D Software Giants).

In many studios, Maya’s advanced animation tools and industry adoption are huge strengths, but Blender’s community, flexibility, and cost advantages make it a serious contender — especially for freelancers, indie creators, or those starting out.
