An older book, that stands up over time. It includes some historical inaccuracies that have subsequently had more light shed on them. However, the spirit of the author is certainly with Mexico and its people. The art is beautiful, particularly the ancient stuff. It’s just a fascinating fun and interesting read.

Reviewing history thru the eyes of art is an enjoyable way to wander through the Olmecs, Teotihuacan, Monte Alban, Mayan, Toltecc, Mixtec & Aztec cultures.
