This book is about a cat, Harry, who is walking with his mother, but then finds himself stuck at the top of a house. Harry is not sure how to get down, so he is stuck. His mom thinks fast and gets the fire department involved to save her son. The firemen get the cat down without any trouble. Harry's mom thinks he should blow a kiss to the firemen who saved him, but Harry doesn't think that is a good idea. When his mom turns her back to start walking home, Harry turns to the firemen and blow them a kiss anyway. This is a cute story that is perfect for beginning readers.
Not much to this. The depiction of the mother cats, in particular, is bizarre, with skirt only. It makes the body look disproportionate. Esther Averill's cats have much more charm.
Not a fan of how the mom was forcing the kitten to do something he was uncomfortable with. If he didn’t want to blow the firefighters a kiss he shouldn’t be forced to.
Didn't much care for this book. The story line was uneventful and dull to me. I guess it was sort of kind of cute, but not too great. Maybe if you really like cats...
