Unable to escape her nickname, "The Love Master," even when she transfers to a new high school, Aria turns the student council into a dating service, despite her own bad luck with love.
2009: it was really cute! fantastic? not really, but really cute. the series has lots of potential to be fantastic as you follow the misadventures of aria and her "quest" to help others with their love dilemmas.
Overall, reminded me of Ouran High School Host Club, but with a much more disjointed story. Basically, an okay reverse harem story. Maybe it'll improve with subsequent volumes.
This was a fun silly little 2 volume manga set. It has a lot of the usual shoujo tropes and never takes itself too seriously. Unfortunately it never quite goes beyond amusing and shortly after reading it, it is hard to distinguish any particular feature that sets it apart from other more memorable mangas like Ouran or Imadoki or Gentleman's Alliance, etc. It's not bad, I enjoyed it; it just doesn't stand out either :)
I enjoyed reading. This story is about Aria how has transferred to a new school in hopes of a quiet new life, but her reputation has preceded her. She was nicknamed “the love master” at her last school. The reason isn’t a good one for the nickname it is because she was turned down lots of times before. When she starts this new school she is immediately told she is the president of the student council president. In this volume she helps two others couples out in getting together. This series so far is very cute. The student council cracks me up. Especially the girl that dresses like a guy and is afraid of girls. I did enjoy this series and look forward to the next volume.
This started off as an episodic manga where the main character helps a new person every chapter find love. Then in the last chapter there is a contrived near-rape scene. When done tastefully it can be forgiven, but this was used just to give a scene more drama for the inevitable rescue. Then it hints that in the next novel he's a love interest?! I'll read it, since there are only two, but this is a sad start.
The usual shoujo. Aria survived 50 love rejections in her young life and is hoping to start anew in high school where on the first day of class she's is mysteriously chosen to become the 1st year student council president. Since she has forsaken love for herself she strives to create love connections for those around her and enlists the help of the other members of the student council.
Many moons ago, I read this silly volume at the public library, had a fun laugh, but never picked it up again, assuming it was a longer shoujo title and not wanting to get invested. But no, apparently, it's only two volumes! So, just for the sake of wrapping a series I technically was "almost done with," I've returned to this forgotten ol' title.
I persevered....I'm glad I did! It's a really nice manga....I mean,I was getting irritated by Jin's thickheaded-ness at some points, and I was wanting her to get with Sakakiyama at others...but it was all good at the end....totally satisfactory. And Jin and Aria are so adorable Totally worth it.
a cute and fairly smart addition to the student council hotties shojo subgenre. i have to admit to liking Chikayasu a lot - enigmatic emo-boys who can't read maps are my favourites.
This two-volume series is the essence of romantic shoujo manga. Very popular with our core audience, many of who sent us sad fan letter bemoaning the fact that it ended so quickly.
This is a reverse harem/school life genre. It's not a very good reverse harem, because she falls in love with 1 of the guys by the 2nd chapter. She doesn't have any hint of romantic feeling for the other guys.
It's kind of a stupid concept too. She's a class president that only helps students find love.
