This is the second novel I've read by Ms. Weaver, and it definitely wasn't my favorite of the two. The storyline had potential, but, the writing style wasn't very engaging. I also felt the characters were more or less cardboard cut-outs, they just didn't have enough depth to hold my attention. I found myself skipping forward to see if something more exciting would happen. It had some romantic and endearing moments, but I just didn't get swept away, like I had hoped. But since I have read Ms.Weaver's work before and enjoyed it, I will read more from her in the future despite this unfulfilling read.
