First time jumping into the Invader Zim universe of comics and this happened to be my first copy I tried. Like the show, it's probably one of the funniest things I have ever experienced. With that said, it's also (like the show) too much of a good thing.
You know how some things (like MST3K) are so funny they end up being painful? Like "my cheeks hurt. Seriously, stawp."
This falls into that category.
Unlike the show however, I am able to take the comic at my own pace. It really is like watching the show- you just have to animate it in your head. (Or on the panels, like I do).

I read it loved it I've Loved Invader Zim since I was a kid and I am so freaking glad they decided to bring Invader Zim back in comics because I miss reading them and the way we can sort of get Invader Zim until they put that movie on Nickelodeon which I'm glad I got this every time I'm at my local comic book shop I have at least three or four issues waiting for me so I am so happy

2.8/5 Classic violet/magenta colorings but how does the guest writer not know Zim can’t be in rain? That was one of the most famous episodes. Though it’s kinda moot to wonder why the school has a laundromat when there are tentacled meat pants in fashion, I still do and don’t like how similar the plot is to the Jimmy Neutron movie. The “eggs” look too clitoral.

The evil pants plot reminded me of the first episode of The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius. Possibly a homage? Uncertain. But it definitely pays homage to the zombie genre. I like that someone teamed up with Dib, at least temporarily. Though Groyna is a really weird name for her. There were quite a few innuendos in this issue regarding taking off pants and getting inside someone (one of the sentient pants). Other lines of dialogue were funny, particularly Zim's reaction to accidentally saving the world at the end. I'm still waiting for the series to move on from allusions and onto moving the story forward.
