Although I find the chakrahs very confusing, I did find a lot of helpful information in this book. What the author interprets as energy and spirit guides I interpret in a religious context.
Either way I learned a lot about the power of the body to heal itself and how stress negatively impacts our bodies. When the stress is relieved the body heals.
I would like to learn more about this .

I've listened to her podcast for years and finally got around to her book--it's so good! I got a lot out of this and I'm sure I'll use a lot of it in my practice.

I read this years ago and just rediscovered it! I don’t remember everything since it’s been awhile and so I might update this review if I download this onto kindle and read again. I believe that illness and even injury can definitely be multidimensional. Obviously, environment, lifestyle, and genetics play a big role, but I have also found that things can also sometimes manifest through repressed emotions and traumas from life. It’s so good to process our emotions in a healthy way (I think everyone could use a good therapist!). I love looking into things from a spiritual and emotional perspective. I believe that it’s so important to face our own “demons” and to move forward. I am a follower of Christ and I keep my spirituality pretty simple. I don’t really believe in “spirit guides”, but I have found God leading in my healing journey. If you find someone who does energy healing, reiki, healing touch, definitely use discernment and prayer because they’re not all equal.

Intriguing journey into the world of energy medicine and intuition. Manuchehri offers case studies and explanations to help us better understand the energy of the body, the chakras, and the auric field. She gives practical exercises on how to shift and raise our energy, including a step-by-step instruction on how to do a body scan and how to tap into and develop our innate intuitive powers. What I appreciate most is the empowerment piece, giving readers the simple knowledge and tools to trust ourselves and explore our own energy so we can live a more vital and fulfilled life.

Some things I did not agree with but overall I enjoyed the book and especially liked the ‘one minute’ exercises.

Very approachable without being simplistic or overselling what is, according to the author, very natural, but to most of us can be complicated, challenging, and not easily accessible.
