Out of all the books Jeffrey Kottler has written, "Introduction to Therapeutic Counseling: Voices from the Field is one of his better reads. Because I was required to read this book for my Master's degree, I was very resistant in reading although it needed to get done. Kottler has a good yet sometimes dry sense of humor in this book which drew me into learning more about the counseling field. I definitely found his work to be helpful in learning how to be the best counselor/music therapist I can be.
