Gina Romano took over the family pizza restaurant and has made a wonderful success of it. But now we have the Moretti family, with Lucia Moretti opening a pizza restaurant right across the street. But Gina's restaurant has become so well known and successful that a local vlogger has decided to interview her for the vlog. This of course upset Lucia Moretti who feels the vlogger should interview her since she feels she and her restaurant is better than Gina's. We have a ready to explode Gina when Lucia flirts with Jacob, her chef and boyfriend. When Gina goes to meet the vlogger, she finds her dead. She is sure she knows who did it, but she has to prove it. Is she right? Can she solve the murder before she is the next? I love the relationship between Gina and Jacob This second book is great and I can't wait for the next Gina adventure. I received and ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Gina was doing pretty well in her family restaurant and sure didn’t need someone opening a competing restaurant especially decorated like hers and with a similar menu. It didn’t help matters that the owner’s brother acted like some overacting stand-in for a mafioso movie lol, but it did add a little to the humor and offset how crazy serious the woman owner was.

There were several good suspects, but despite what Gina was thinking, I was suspecting someone else even though I’d have liked it to be the person Gina was suspecting. She got to give her pepper spray a good workout when she went in search of the perp, and it lasted until reinforcements showed up making the perp nice and miserable. The ending was super sweet and I was proud of Gina for realizing what she did.

The town isn’t big enough for both of them!

Just when Romano’s Family Restaurant is doing well the Morettis come to town and open an Italian restaurant right across the street. To make matters worse, the owner is flirting with Jacob! Gina is not going to tolerate it. There are suspicious things going on over there and Gina is sure they know something about the murder that just occurred. She just has to prove it.

I like this series. Gina is fiery and impulsive which often tends to put her in danger but her adventures are entertaining. I'm a big fan of Jumbo. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.

I received "The Ravioli Rub Out" for an honest review. Gina gets involved in another murder investigation and it definitely becomes interesting. We get more of Lucia Morelli and her family. Well developed characters and several red herrings that keep you guessing and entertained. If you enjoy evolving characters and cozy, cozy mysteries you will definitely enjoy this story. I find Rosie's stories very entertaining and a bit of an escape from day to day life.

An unfortunate victim

Gina is upset that a rival restaurant has opened in her vicinity by Lucia Moretti who is trying to be one up on her. Lucia has a crush on Gina's boyfriend, Jacob. Then a murder takes place and Lucia's brother, Romeo was the last person to see the victim. Gina is sure that he is the killer but has she got her facts right? An entertaining plot with an intriguing twist.

Good mystery but it’s a little odd

A very good short mystery novel. I enjoyed the plot and the twists were unexpected yet fit the story well. Gina went a little off the rails there for a bit but her oddball behavior was quite amusing. I will say as someone who is NY Italian the stereotypes of the Moretti family kind of grated on my nerves. However it wasn’t so egregious that I didn’t read this in one sitting and put the next book in the series on my to read list.

Gina has been invited to be interviewed by a local vlogger. However, when she arrives she finds the interviewer is dead. Gina already has a suspect in mind. A new Italian restaurant has opened close to Gina’s. And the owner is flirting with Gina’s boyfriend chef. Gina is determined to solve this case but can she do it before she’s the next victim. A great fun mystery with twists to keep you guessing.

A new Italian restaurant opens across the street and the new owners are quite nasty to Gina. When there is a murder, the male is one of her suspects...is it warranted or just bad feeling? Read it and find out who really killed the victim and why. Fun read. I received an ARC copy gratis and offer my opinion in the same.

I love this series because of the way the author writes she is able to transport y0u to the very spot in the story and you feel everything that is happening right along with her characters. Amazing characters and backstories that don't leave you thinking when did that happen.

Good although some plot holes.

I enjoy these series of short mysteries and this one had plenty of suspects although some plot holes or unexplained, missing links in the solution. Fun nonetheless and always makes me want Italian food.

Moretti Mayhem

A visit to Lucia's restaurant, which created havoc, and a brutal murder sends Gina on a path to find the killer. I especially enjoyed the wacky flirting and jealousy between Shawn, Gina, Jacob, and Lucia.

This story had some of the usual feel of Gina's family, boyfriend and restaurant but now has protagonists of the Moretti's competing restaurant an obnoxious family but also ending of a thriller Gina reads then due to no sleep feels part of during her investigation.

Fast read

The only thing I did not like in the book was the cat. Matilda is a good character in book.

Not a bad story with a few twists and turns. The PI is always wrong in the end and the perpetrator not a consideration.
