Not sure why the description sounds like it belongs to another book but this book is definitely about Bats. Full of facts, illustrations and photos. Good introduction to a wide variety of bats and what they do.

This is a book about a few select species of the bat. It introduces the life of each species and shares interesting facts about them, such as where they're located, what their diets consist of, and how they play a vital role in controlling the insect population.
I'm rating this book four stars. Each species took up two pages and was filled with a combination of actual photos and cartoon drawings of the mammal. The layout was easy to follow and each bat was introduced with a witty title. I felt that more could have been said about each species. It was interesting to read about certain bats solely eating fruits or insects. I found it shocking to learn that a bat's wingspan can range from as small as five and a half inches to as large as five and a half feet. This book is a great read for a child that is mildly interested in this mammal. While the information given was woven together nicely, it only grazed about the topic of bats.
