This is one of my favorite gifts of all time. It is sort of the same idea as "I'll Love You Forever" except that it talks about the things in life that are priceless, including nursing. I would recommend this book as a gift to any expecting mother. It is a book I will treasure always and intend to give to my daughter at her first baby shower someday.
This story goes full circle, sharing the gifts in Sara’s life from her birth until she has her own child. A page listing breast-feeding resources follows the story. This delicate topic, handled in a simple message, is the perfect gift for the new mom.
I was pleasantly surprised and thrilled to discover this little book was about breastfeeding. I bought it for the library because Ellly MacKay was the illustrator and I adore her. The story is lovely and the illustrations are natural and serene. Beautiful book all around.
Novel topic (value of breastfeeding, breastfeeding as a precious gift. Longitudinal, multigenerational approach to nursing as an American cultural norm.
