"Does love at first sight really happen? Is there a difference between love at first sight and obsession?

Davina Stuart, farmer and bestselling author of Second Harvest, shares a flight to Los Angeles with Hollywood's latest heartthrob, Quinn Thomas. Three hours of in-flight speed dating and Quinn's in love. Davina is not so sure. She's older and wiser. She'll settle for a one-night stand but he wants more. Davina's cows and her children are her life. She's not so sure about Hollywood and its glamour. Blue jeans, cowboy boots and her pickup truck are more her style. Quinn is tired of the plastic starlets, his empty bed and his lonely heart. He’d give up everything, including his career, for the love of a woman, his woman. Forever Love follows their whirlwind romance as the widow of two years, who thought her time for romance was over, finds love with a man who has to have her in his life, to love her forever.

Author of hot and spicy contemporary romance with a touch of country. Born a city girl but raised country, I am a dairy farmer who also enjoys a taste of city life every once in a while. My family and our life on the farm are my inspiration and my joy.

Other than writing, my interests are music, movies, live theatre, reading, travelling and watching the news and binge-watching a variety of shows.

My writing focuses on romance, however, I read most fiction genres. Paranormal romance and comedic fiction are my focus at the moment.

I keep my book reviews short and sweet - no storytelling in the review. I rate them as a beach read since most of my reading happens at the beach.

Forever Love by Deborah Armstrong

I received this book from the author and Making Connections group to read and write an honest review. Thank you Deborah. Deborah's writing is easy to read, plot and character description are well written, the story flows quite well and I found it an enjoyable read. This appears to be Deborah's debut novel and she has done a terrific job.

In Forever Young we meet Davina Stuart, who is an author and is flying to Los Angeles to talk about a movie script of her bestselling novel Second Harvest. During the flight she meets Quinn who is one of Hollywood’s heartthrobs. Well things only get better from here, Quinn is enthralled with Davi and Davi is just thinking about a handsome young man and maybe a quick one night stand. Quinn cannot believe his luck and feels a connection to Davi instantly. Davi and Quinn spend as much time as they can while Davi is in town and you can see the romance unfolding right before your eyes.

Davi is in her later 40's and cannot believe Quinn wants more than a one night stand, Quinn and Davi's relationship is not something Davi would of thought possible. But of course there are issues they will have to deal with, one being the age difference as she has children close to Quinn age. Also the lifestyle, Davi lives on her ranch and loves the quiet life; she knows she could not do the Hollywood thing.

Can love at first sight be true, can Davi trust this relationship, and will her family be okay with it? Or will they all laugh at her and think she has gone crazy. Can she love again?

Read Forever Love and watch the story unfold; it was quite a good romance novel. There is romance, suspense and even some laughs. I have rated the book a 4 star rating and cannot wait to read the sequel. Which I am hoping is coming soon!

This book primarily revolves around the relationship between the two characters Davina and Quinn. They meet by chance on a flight heading into Los Angeles from Canada. Quinn is a mega movie star and Davina recently wrote a novel that is now in the process of becoming a blockbuster movie. She soon finds out that Quinn is one of the actors picked for her movie and this encounter brings them together yet again. She is also a full time farmer in her community when she isn’t involved in her writing.

I really like the premise of this book. It’s not very often that you come across a tender, sweet love story revolving around an older woman and a younger man. Davina was previously married for a very long time until her husband passed away a few years back. She is kind of set in her ways with grown children of her own. Quinn is still in search of his dream woman and life mate.

I think this story flowed very well and was very easy to follow. I liked meeting the character, Guy. He brings some excitement/danger to the storyline. My only issue with the book is how fast Davina and Quinn fell in love with each other. Their relationship seemed to progress too quickly for my tastes. I’m not a huge fan of ‘love at first sight” stories. I knew this going into the book because it is mentioned in the synopsis and this book does demonstrate that theme throughout.

One thing I really liked to read about was how to maintain and care for cows on a farm. I had zero previous knowledge about calves and female cows. The author does an excellent job at explaining all the processes of how to take care of cows at every stage. This part of the book was very unexpected and enjoyable for me.

Overall, I rate this book 3.5 STARS! I am curious to see what happens in the second book with all the characters. I recommend Forever Love to those that like to read movie star plot lines, with an easy, sweet ‘love at first sight’ theme.

-XOXO

I had never read anything by this author before but I really liked this book. In FOREVER LOVE we meet Davi who is a middle aged widow about to go on a flight for a meeting in the US. She sits next to Quinn who is a young Hollywood heart throb and falls in love with Davi at first sight. She tries to resist him, but Quinn is very persistant. Her life is about to change and nothing will ever be the same again.

I really enjoyed this book and once I devoted my attention to it, it was a very quick and easy read. Well done Deborah! I'm looking forward to the sequel because you have to be writing one! You would never leave us hanging like that! Hahahaha

Okay this story was pleasant enough. Light, sometimes cheesy, somewhat predictable plot, okay characters. Nothing great, but still enjoyable enough to get through. And then.... THE. ENDING. It continues?!!! There's a CONTINUATION!!! UGH!!! I'm SOOOOOOO OVER the need to continue a freaking story! Crap, I need to know what happens given that last page in the epilogue. Have to think on this some more.

4 out of 5 stars!!

This was a wonderful debut novel for Deborah Armstrong. The writing was very easy to follow. I truly enjoyed this story!

This story is about Davina Stuart, farmer and author of a bestselling book titled "Second Harvest". She is a recent widow who's life revolves around her farm and her children. But her life is about to change. On a flight to Los Angeles she meets Hollywood's latest heartthrob, Quinn Thomas. Once he sees Davi, it's love at first sight!

When Quinn tells her he wants to date her, Davina is thinking more along the lines of a one night stand, but he wants more. Quinn is tired of the Hollywood starlets and wants to find his true love. She's older than him and is hesitant to start a relationship because of the age difference. Can Quinn make her see that she is truly the woman he has been waiting for and has fallen in love with?? Does love at first sight really happen? Forever Love takes us through Davian and Quinn's story.

I can't wait to read and review the next book in this series!

Author Deborah Armstrong writes a passionate romance, with steamy spice laced throughout. Quinn Thomas, a renowned sex-symbol star, is the most eligible Hollywood bachelor. Davina Stuart is a Canadian farmer and now a best-selling author. Her book Second Harvest depicts part of her life before she became a widow raising three children.

Hollywood wants to make Davi's book into a movie. On her way to Hollywood to talk to the producers, she is seated next to Quinn. He is immediately smitten. She feels he simply wants a roll in the hay; after all, she is older.

The relationship between these two is hot, sexy, and fun. Davi is not opposed to a one-night stand, but Quinn wants forever. The spice starts early with a flirty exchange from the following excerpt.

"Davina's jaw dropped. No! "
'Quinn Thomas Hot Sex Now.'" He made the words sound more sinful and sexy than she could have ever imagined.
"Not fair! You were encroaching on my personal space."
"It wasn't hard to miss."
"You didn't have to look," Davina protested halfheartedly.
"Yes, I did," he said, not regretting his actions. "It's my turn. Do you date?"
"I've been on a few in the last year, but nothing that turned into anything serious."
"Why?" he asked before he took a sip of his wine. "The men were okay, but I didn't know if they were interested in my spread or me."
Quinn choked on his drink. "Excuse me?"
"I'm a farmer, Quinn. I wasn't sure if they liked my land or me. What did you think I meant?" she asked, smiling at him knowingly."

The characters and interactions are believable. There is a lot to be said for older women with younger men. The other characters like Jake, Luke, and Davi's daughters round all the action and illustrate the story's realism. It is a powerful story of a deep connection between two people who love to see them through the good times and the challenges. I especially like the dialogue and quick wit of Davi, who doesn't take crap from anyone, especially not Quinn.

In many ways, this contemporary romance is on par with Bella Andre, with scenes that heat up to nearly melting the pages. Not for kids, but definitely a delicious romance that calls for wine and a candle, or even strawberries and chocolate. I cannot wait for the second book in this series. I am a new fan.

Deborah Armstrong sent me this book.
I really wanted to give it five stars.
The plot is highly unusual, very intriguing, and pretty much a fantasy that can be believed.
The characters are well rounded, well developed, and the story is both amusing and heart warming.
But.... it lost two stars because somebody (her editor, maybe?) has convinced Ms. Armstrong that books need graphic sex scenes.
The book is so much better than that, so much a well plotted story that all that vigorous (and unbelievable) sex between a 45 year old woman (seriously how much energy did you have at that age?) and a much younger man seems to detract from the real plot.
That is a shame.
I would have happily bought the rest of the series, just to continue the love story, and the story of his career and her farm, but won't, because the sex is just too much.
Just my humble opinion, of course, but I would really like to see this author write books that stand on the plot and the people, and believe me when I say, she very well could, and should.

If you're looking for a predictable HEA, this story is it. Maybe a little too predictable, but it's fairly well written, ticks all the boxes, and ends with a bit of foreshadowing of things to come in the next book in the series. I'm not sure the characters and storyline were strong enough for me to want to read any further, but I'm sure there will be lots who are eagerly awaiting the continuation. This would make the perfect Hallmark Movie, if you toned down the sexy bits.

If you're looking to get lost in a sure thing, this book is for you.

Forever Love is a sugary, feel-good, fluffy, cheesy romance. It focuses heavily on the relationship between Davina and Quinn. The book is well written with good plot and characters development. The start felt a little rushed for my liking (Engaged and pregnant all in....3 days? Definitely lesser than a week though.) and then after that it felt a little draggy. Overall, the flow of the story was pretty good and easy to follow. Thankfully due to the slight twists in the story, I wasn't bored. Forever Love has a good mix of romance, suspense and laughter.

description

It is very seldom that I come across a sweet, feel-good romance about an older woman and a younger man. Especially one with this big of an age gap, but that problem has never turned up during the length of this book. Davi is confident and comfortable with who she is and what she has though we get to see little doubts of insecurity. I like that she is witty and is able to handle whatever life throws at her.

We then get to see Quinn actively going after and woo-ing Davina.
I like his "pick-up line" alot! ;)

"You caught me," he said guiltily. "I hope I didn't disturb you, but I was enjoying watching you work. You're very sexy when you're reading."

It's good to see that Quinn isn't a playboy and only shows his real self to Davi and his friends. I love that Quinn still believes in love at first sight! <3

description

The relationship between Quinn and Davina is unbelievably sweet and dorky <3 Fairytale sweet! I kinda scrolled through their love making though. Sweet vanilla sex.

I do loathe that foreboding "cliffy" at the end though. We get to see Davi and Quinn's HEA but Deborah hinted that a dark storm is coming towards them in the near future. I have this feeling that she is going to break my heart and make me cry, and I fear to read it.

This is a nicely written very straightforward love story. Davina Stuart writes a book to help her through her husband's death. This book gets picked up for a movie so she is on her way to LA to talk to the studio. Not looking for love or wanting her she is thrust into a worldwind romance. Quinn is dreaming of his one true love. Forsaking others so that he can dream of this woman until she is his. His last dream has him believing she is coming. He gets on a plane to LA and is seated next to Davina the woman in his dreams.

they have a cute interaction on the plane that leads to dinner. Quinn is telling Davina that she is it for him and she is denying the attraction. She feels she is too old and after what her husband did in their marriage she isn't really ready to board the relationship train. But Quinn wears her down and she finally succumbs to her feelings and him.

Quinn is a sweet guy and I tell you I read that little blurb for the second book (sorry had to) one and I think he was set up. Anywho he pursues Davina until she agrees to marry him and this book is about their romance and marriage. Along the way there is a crazy producer who tries to ruin their wedding and almost takes Quinn away but the connection to Davina keeps him with us.

The ending leaves you wondering what is next because this book doesn't really have to much darkness only shows the growth of the love and relationship between Quinn and Davina so with how it ends you are in a pickle and wonder what is going on.

A nice book about love at first sight and fighting for the one you love.

***ARC***. Davina is a widowed farmer that has written a best seller. She is one her way to LA to see her book become a movie. Along comes Quinn Thomas, the Hollywood heart throb! Do you believe in love at first sight? Can a beautiful older woman be right for a beautiful younger man? Forever Love takes us through their story. I enjoyed the writing style from this author. It is easy and comfortable. Sometimes the wording between David & Quinn gets a little cheesy, but this is who the characters are. Read the next book right after and glad I did!
