If you loved the Leon Uris book "Exodus" or the movie based on it here's another look at the struggle to establish the State of Israel. Set during the British Mandate, the novel is focused on political and military actions-- negotiations, blockades, lack of protection by the British forces, need by the Jews to obtain guns. If you are pro-Israel you'll love this book which shows the injustices and indignities inflicted on the Jews by the British and that government's pro-Arab actions.

The Kindle edition needed better proof-reading.

I've read the Books of Rachael and Lives of Rachael and personally this book wasn't as interesting or compelling.

Non graphic sex or violence.

Fabulous

One of the best books I've ever read about the founding of the State of Israel. I was more than happy to overlook some of the romantic scenes that might certainly appeal to others. The essence of the story was so vivid and riveting that I was truly moved by the sacrifices made by those who went before us
