Night Animals is definitely an informative book with common facts about a variety of nocturnal animals. The pictures are in black and white but are actual images of the animals rather than just drawings. One of the images is somewhat graphic of a fox eating a small animal but the rest are very informative and appropriate. This book would be best for introducing a zoology lesson on nocturnal animals.

* Nocturnal animals
* Informational text
* Uses photographs, rather than drawings (black and white to successfully show what animals are like at night
-B & W works well since we cannot see colors as well at night anyway;
makes it more real.

This is a good book for teaching children about the different types and names of animals that are night creatures. It also tells what kind of food they eat, and where their homes are located.
