The "All-in-One Course for Children" takes all of the pages from "Alfred's Basic Piano Library," Lesson Books 1A and 1B, plus selected pages from Theory, Recital and Fun Solo Books and combines them into part of a sequential five-book series. At the completion of Book 5, the student will be ready to continue into Level 3 of "Alfred's Basic Piano Library" or "Alfred's Premier Piano Course." This course is most effective when used under the direction of a piano teacher or experienced musician.
Willard A. "Bill" Palmer (1917 – April 30, 1996) was an American music scholar, educator and composer.
Dr. Willard Palmer wrote nearly 800 published works, including an accordion method, several piano methods, a method for Hammond Chord Organ, a guitar method, hundreds of solo pieces and many choral works for the Alfred Music publishing company.
An entertaining approach to learning the fundamental and critical piano basics of music theory and play sessions. I highly recommend it for children between the ages of 5-9. Or if you're like me, a tactile person who absorbs large amounts of information quickly through interaction, and as a beginner who will be mostly self-taught, consider this book a casual approach to playing piano. From an adults' perspective the lessons are not hard, but after a few you might come to appreciate the technical abilities required to increase skill which this book is excellent at making you aware of and assisting with.
