I never expected to see her again.
The connection we shared through her brother was severed when he died in combat.
Their parents were adamant that I never reach out to them again.
I forgot about the pact I made, my promise to make her mine if I wasn’t married by thirty.
The only answer I had for her when she showed up with that handwritten note was no.
Only Devyn Malloy isn’t the type to take no for an answer.
Cerberus welcomed her with open arms, but as that became enough for her, I realized it might not be enough for me…

This was an ARC read and my FIRST book read by Marie James. I will tell you right now that I fell in love. While this was book 28 of the MC Series, it was definitely one that could be read on its own. I will say, I am going to go back and read this entire series now!

Legacy was best friends with Devyn’s brother since they were little, joined the Marine Corps together, and unfortunately only Legacy came home. He lived out his dream and joined the Cerberus Motorcycle club. What you’ll find out quickly is Legacy had a “promise” with Devyn from when she was younger.

This story was definitely a slow burn but once it heated up, it HEATED UP! I tortured myself not reading it as quickly as I could and after finishing, I wish I would have!

Tropes: Forbidden love, age gap, slow burn.

Okay I really really enjoyed these two’s story! I do wish there was a bit more on Vaughn but I also understand why there isn’t more. I felt so bad for Devyn, her family changed drastically when she was so young but she still fought to make her dreams come true. I loved watching that happen for her because she deserved it.

The chemistry between these two was obvious & intense. I loved the chapters of them venturing into the city for the night. Very sexy! I’m looking forward to the next book to hopefully get some answers to what happened at the wedding. Plus Stormy is in for a wild ride I think.

Legacy by Marie James is a book that I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys contemporary, adult MC romance novels. The book is part of the Cerberus MC series and follows the story of Emmett "Legacy" Wilson and Devyn.

Legacy is a well-developed character that I found myself rooting for throughout the book. He is a strong, protective, and caring man who is loyal to his loved ones. His character is one of the highlights of the book.

The book is part of a larger multiverse that Marie James has created, which I found to be a unique and interesting aspect of the book. The storyline is engaging and kept me interested in the world that the author has created.

The romance between Legacy and Devyn is sweet and steamy. Their chemistry is palpable, and I enjoyed reading about their journey towards each other. The author has done a great job of developing their relationship and making it feel authentic.

In conclusion, Legacy by Marie James is a great addition to the Cerberus MC series and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys MC romance novels. The book has well-developed characters, an engaging storyline, and a sweet and steamy romance.

As with all Cerberus stories I just ate up the words in Legacy’s story. Legacy was best friends with Devyn’s brother. When her brother dies fighting for our country it seems to destroy her parents and also her relationship with them. Feeling invisible to her loved ones Devyn sets out to find the boy turned man to get him to fulfill a childhood promise. When Devyn shows up at the Cerberus compound she can’t believe how welcoming and generous they are. Legacy is torn between wanting Devyn to stay and be safe with Cerberus and his attraction to the much younger woman. Fighting through their own insecurities these two find their forever. Most importantly Devyn finds the family she always deserved and didn’t have.

I would consider myself a new reader of the Cerberus series as I just found and fell in love with it earlier this year. I binged the first 24 or so and found myself waiting anxiously for the next story to come out....#28 was no different.

I love love loved Legacy and Devyn's story so much. I don't know if it's the age gap storyline or if its because it reminded me of OG Kid and Khloe's story, but this one I just couldn't put down. Seeing the club back in the field added that little twist of adventure plus I just really enjoy the way Maire writes the couple's interactions.

Low 3. Him caught up on the 12 year age gap was kinda annoying bc it’s not like he’s old enough to really be her dad and he made that comment one time that someone probably thought she was his daughter. Legacy said so many times that he wanted more than sex with her and that’s great except we almost only saw them either talk about sex or engage in it. Like they made their entire relationship based on their sexual attraction. I wish we saw them having conversations about his guilt and her life with her parents. Or even a real conversation after she was kidnapped about both of their feelings towards it? When he was freaking out she tried to seduce him! Which again brought their relationship back to sex bc she was doing it so they wouldn’t have a hard conversation and so he wouldn’t leave. Idk if we saw more of them having real conversations and a real relationship outside of their sexual attraction I think it would have been good enough. But bc that was lacking it’s low 3 stars. I was decently entertained which was good but still not my favorite from the series.

Legacy is the twenty-eighth book in Marie James’ Cerberus MC Series. Yes, you read that right, book number twenty-eight! These books all read as standalone, and from my experience that fact is true. This is the first book I picked up by Marie James, so let’s dive into what this one is all about.

Emmett once had the perfect life. A great family who loved and nurtured his dreams and a best friend who had his back through all tough times. It was also an added bonus, their families got along. But now, Emmett is looking at life a little differently. He’s looking at it through guilt tinted glasses. His dream was to enter the military and fight for his country with his best friend by his side. Never in a Million Years thinking he’d be the only one coming back home…

At a young age, Devyn Malloy lost her older brother overseas. That death had a domino effect on her family. She can’t remember a time when her parents laughed and weren’t so cold. Their demand for her to go to college falls on deaf ears, and fashion school is not a choice. So with an ultimatum on the table, Devyn decides to choose option two. Leave. With a dream of becoming a fashion designer in mind. Devyn goes to the one person she knows will support her, at all costs. After all, he owes her a promise and a promise made is a promise kept.

When Emmett spots Devyn at the Cerberus MC clubhouse, he no longer sees the little girl chasing after him and her brother. He sees a woman who has the power to wreck the life he has created for himself.

My thoughts:

I was worried about diving into this book. I had no clue it was the twenty-eighth book in a series… I requested this one because the synopsis was just too good to pass up on. What I learned about Marie James’ writing style, she doesn’t mess around when it comes to the slow burn!

Let’s start with Devyn. I loved the fact that this woman chose the hardest path to travel. She had a dream, and she wasn’t going to let anyone stand in her way of achieving that dream. I also loved her sassy vibes. Right off the bat, she knew what she wanted and she was going to get everything she wanted and more in regards to seeing Emmett for the first time after all those years passed…. This woman was fire! There’s just one negative thing I can say about this woman’s point of view, I would have loved a few flashback moments where she’s a little girl chasing after her older brother’s best friend. I would have loved to see The Deal play out. You know, the deal that Emmett made that if he’s not married by the age of thirty, he would marry Devyn…. I wanted to feel that first crush feeling and the puppy love aspect. I wanted a little bit more from Devyn’s point of view….

And then we have Emmett. For being a member of an MC, Emmett was tame. I loved his boy next door vibes and his honorable heart. This man lost his best friend in combat, and he tried to do the honorable thing by staying away from his little sister, but sometimes the matters of the heart is more important than a promise he made to himself. I really loved this man’s vibes throughout this novel. I especially loved the war he fought within himself. Same with Emmett, I needed a few flashback moments, maybe to understand his guilt. I wanted a tad bit more.

And then we have the situation with Devyn’s parents. I understand grief and I understand some may lash out at others due to grief, but the whole situation with Devyn and her parents was bull…. This pissed me off so much, it’s not even funny. I was hoping towards the end, there would be some sort of reconciliation… but I didn’t feel like the moment of reconciliation happened. Sure, Devyn had her parents show up before one of the most important events she’ll ever have in her life… but they couldn’t be human enough to stick around… GRRR… what’s the point in even showing up in the first place… And the thing with the dog tags… If I was Devyn, I wouldn’t have given them back! But that’s just the spiteful being within me.

Overall, I loved the romance and I loved Devyn and Emmett’s characters… I just needed more from this story. I needed more substance to understand their emotions and turmoils.

Twenty eight installments and still going strong! Whenever I need a sweet and sensual tale I know that the Cerberus MC will give me just that in a reliably entertaining story. And that is definitely what readers will get with this standalone story of loss and finding love and happiness when you least expect it. With each turn of the page readers will be charmed by this slow-burn romance based on a promise to the sister of a best friend, a promise that eventually becomes a lifeline to reaching a dream and getting a HEA.

Emmett “Legacy” Wilson always knew he was destined to be a Marine. Too bad that once he joined up things didn't go as planned. With the painful death of his best friend, who joined because of their friendship, Legacy was left adrift and feeling guilty. Because of the death he's further banished from being part of his friend's family, instead becoming a part of the Cerberus MC. Years later though there's a blast from the past courtesy of his friend's little sister and the endearing promise he made her years ago...a promise that's now a lifeline for her. Coming face to face with the young girl he feels obligated to rouses all sorts of feelings within him, feelings of attraction and guilt just a few of those feelings in a slow and steady journey to HEA. Legacy's a likable hero with an endearing sense of honor. My heart hurt for him as he dealt with the loss of his friend, cut off from those most likely to help him heal. Upon seeing Devyn he immediately felt unworthy of her, saw all the reasons they shouldn't be together, but her determination fueled their journey to HEA.

Devyn Malloy also suffered much when her brother died. She became nothing but a ghost in the eyes of her parents as everything was always about their son. They took care of her basic needs but none of her emotional ones. For years she puts up with being a shadow but the moment she decides to grab something for herself, her parents kick her out and try to derail her dream of becoming a fashion designer. Devyn thankfully remembers a long ago promise that has Legacy (and the Cerberus MC) acting as a safe haven where she finally starts to feel loved, acknowledged, and supported. Devyn's a likable heroine with a surprising sense of maturity. She might be 18 in years, but her actions and decisions speak of someone much older. Devyn's a determined young woman, determined in her choice of careers, and in claiming the man she's always been drawn to in a slow-burn romance I was cheering for every step of the way.

This was a sweet, sentimental, and sensual second chance romance that warmed my heart while slowly building and becoming more richly rewarding. The connection between Legacy and Devyn also evolved into something more emotional, something that acted as a healing balm to them both after their mutual loss. The Cerberus MC once again offered solid support, giving Devyn a sense of family that she's been missing. Old faces, along with a few new ones, has me looking forward to what comes next courtesy of this unconventional family.

LEGACY is the twenty-eighth instalment in Marie James’ contemporary, adult CERBERUS erotic, MC romance series focusing on the Cerberus MC whose brotherhood is made up of former US Marines. This is thirty year old, Cerberus member and former US Marine Emmett ‘Legacy’ Wilson, and eighteen year old, fashion designer Devyn Malloy’s story line. LEGACY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information form the previous instalments is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Devyn and Legacy) LEGACY follows the best friend’s younger sister’s relationship between thirty year old, Cerberus member and former US Marine Emmett ‘Legacy’ Wilson, and eighteen year old Devyn Malloy. At eighteen years of age, Emmett Wilson and his best friend Vaughn Malloy joined the US Marines but only one would return leaving Emmett without his best friend or the family he had called his own. Fast forward to present day, having served twelve years in the Marines, Emmett finds himself with the Cerberus MC, facing down a past who wants Legacy to claim her as his own. A pact made between Devyn and Emmett promised marriage but Emmett never expected to go through with the ruse. Devyn is homeless; has walked away from her family and friends, and is hoping for a new start with Emmett and the Cerberus MC. What ensues is the building relationship between Devyn and Legacy, and the potential fall-out as the Cerberus MC is targeted by an enemy from the past.

The world building continues to focus on the friendships and relationships between the members of the Cerberus MC. As each member comes into his own, finds loves and begins the next generation, there are always new members hoping for a new start, with secrets of their own.

The relationship between Devyn and Legacy begins acrimoniously as Legacy never expected to follow through with a pledge he made twelve years earlier. Devyn was only six years old when she new Emmett Wilson was the man she wanted to marry but life and the death of her brother meant something different to everyone involved. The $ex scenes are erotic and provocative.

Once again, there is another large ensemble cast of colorful and familiar secondary and supporting characters including most of the member of the Cerberus MC. We are introduced to Devyn’s parents, as well as three new prospects Hemlock, Oracle and Newton.

LEGACY is a story of family and friendships, death and destruction, loss and love, acceptance and understanding. The fast paced, character driven premise is edgy and dramatic; the romance is seductive and passionate; the characters are struggling but moving on from the past.

Legacy is book twenty-eight in the Cerberus MC series by Marie James and can be read as a standalone.

Emmett “Legacy” Wilson always had the dream of continuing his family’s legacy by joining the Marines, hence the nickname. Since he has his best friend Vaughn did everything together, he decided to join as well. When Vaughn is KIA, his parents blame Legacy for his death and tell him to never contact them again.

Devyn Malloy was only six years old when her brother Vaughn was KIA and it changed her life completely. She became somewhat invisible to her parents after his death and only existed to them. They took care of her day to day needs, but withheld what she needed most from them…love. She has always dreamed of being a fashion designer, but her parents refused to even fathom that dream and insisted if that’s the career she wanted, then she was no longer welcome to live under their roof and kicked her out. Now with nowhere to go, she decides to search out her brother’s best friend and take him up on the promise he made to her in one of her journals…marry her when he’s thirty if he’s still single.

When Devyn shows up at the Cerberus clubhouse with a preacher demanding Legacy marry her, all hell breaks loose. Legacy is adamantly against it and has no plans to follow through, but even he can’t deny the attraction or the pull he feels towards her. This was definitely a slow burn and Legacy tries his best to stay away from her, but ultimately his love for her grows and the only he can do is claim her as his. Devyn is very mature for her young eighteen years and I loved watching her strive and grow under the love freely given by the Cerberus members. I would have liked to see her explain to Legacy how she ended up there and what her life was like after Vaughn died, but it’s only eluded to. And I really wanted to see Legacy’s reaction at the end when her mother gives Vaughn’s dog tags to her, only if it was temporary. Overall, I really enjoyed it. I always love visiting all the Cerberus guys and girls, and we meet three new guys in this installment. So, I’ll be looking forward to their stories as well.

LEGACY is the twenty-eighth installment of Ms. James’ CERBERUS MC romance series.
Can absolutely be enjoyed as a standalone.
The Cerberus MC brotherhood is made up of former US Marines. Who have left the service.
Forming their own group and their own type of service.
This is Emmett ‘Legacy’ Wilson and Devyn Malloy’s book.
Devyn is eighteen and has dreamed of being a fashion designer since she was a child.
Her older brother Vaughan was KIA when she was just six years old. She is now an only child.
Vaughan was twelve years older than her but loved her dearly.
Emmett Wilson, also known as Legacy. Has carried guilt and pain for the last twelve years.
He and his best friend Vaughan were practically joined at the hip. They did everything together.
Legacy’s dream was to join the Marine Corps like the rest of his family. Their service goes back generations. Vaughan joins as well. But one tragic day while on patrol Vaughan is killed.
From here starts a story of finding redemption, forgiveness and finding family and peace.
And a sense of belonging.
Legacy is attracted to Devyn, she’s a beautiful young lady. But the idea of her being his best friend’s little sister. And the age gap has him conflicted. And emotional distraught.
The chemistry is definitely there but he doesn’t act on his impulses.
Devyn is immediately taken with Legacy. She has no hang ups about his age nor that he was her brother’s best friend. Her perception of a relationship with Emmett vastly differs from his.
I loved the bond that started growing between them. Before the physical relationship.
The friendship, the communication and the stronger feelings that develop.
The sexual tension between these two can absolutely be felt. It comes to life off the pages.
The frustration and need is strong. But I adored the Legacy wanted more.
Both the characters are somewhat broken and damaged in their heart and soul.
All the saddens and anguish revolving around the death of Vaughan.
But together along with the Cerberus family love will heal all wounds.

Emmett "Legacy" Wilson had so many dreams with his best friend Vaughn Malloy but when Vaughn is killed overseas while both are serving in the Marine Corps the guilt is high. Yet Emmett decides to join Cerberus MC, a dream both of them shared.

Devyn Malloy has a dream of going to school for fashion but when her parents say she must go to school for business or be kicked out she chooses the latter. Her parents have never recovered from the death of Vaughn and she doesn't think they care about her any longer.

When Devyn locates Emmett she tells him that he needs to marry her as he wrote in her notebook that he would marry her if he wasn't married by 30.

Emmett has no plans on marrying Devyn but with Devyn staying, will he be able to keep away from her?

This was a good and entertaining read that is continuing a great series!

I really liked Emmett and understood why he was really conflicted about Devyn. He was attracted to Devyn but there was a 12 year age gap and he felt responsible for the death of her brother, Vaughn. Emmett is new to the MC and I liked getting to know him more and hopefully more in the future as well.

I thought Devyn was an amazing character with so much talent and dreams and it was sad how her parents treated her. I loved how she really began to come out of her shell with the ladies of Cerberus and how everyone banded together to help her start to achieve her dreams.

There was incredible chemistry between Emmett and Devyn but Emmett was really holding himself back due to the things he viewed as standing in their way. But when things began to happen- holy intense!!!

There was some MC drama and it let you know that things are not finished with the previous events that people thought they had finished off. Looks like that is going to remain for awhile longer, which is good!

The next story with Stormy sounds awesome!- Rebecca

This is Devyn and Emmett’s story. He was her brother’s best friend. But when her brother was killed in action her parents blamed him. When she has no where to go after her parents kick her out she goes to Emmett. He made a promise to her and she is bring that promise to him and wants him to fulfill that promise. Emmett is not going to marry her but he brings her into the MC’s fold. She now has a family but is that enough? Emmett is feeling things he never thought he would can he really act on those feelings? Can a future be built on a long ago promise?

I recommend this book.

I knew after reading Bishop that once I started Legacy I wouldn’t be able to put it down, and I was right! When Devyn showed up at Cerberus clubhouse at the end of book 27 I knew it was going to be good.
When Emmett signed a promise to her when she was 6, and he was 18, he had no idea she’d take it serious. Especially since after her brother and his best friend was killed in action, her parents blamed him and it’s been 12 years since they’ve seen each other.
There’s an obvious attraction between them, one all his brothers can see, but Emmett is trying to honor his late friend and do the right thing by not acting on his attraction to her. But Devyn isn’t making it easy on him! I loved how she really wasn’t shy about what she wanted, but she also wasn’t taking his mixed signals either. I loved it when she called him on his jealousy and told him to grow up! At the beginning I wasn’t sure what to think of Devyn. I thought she was a little presumptuous and naive to just show up after 12 years and expect him to marry her. But I loved her, she was mature beyond her years and went after what she wanted, wether it was Emmett or conquering her dreams.
And I absolutely loved Emmett. He was a man of integrity and honor, and I respected him so much for that.
This series is very good, and addicting. After reading the end of this book I’m very excited and looking forward to Stormy’s story next!!

Ever made a pact with a buddy’s younger sister just so she’d quit following you around? Well that is exactly what Emmitt, aka Legacy, did when Devyn was 6 years old to his 18. So what does a guy do when she shows up at the Cerberus Clubhouse 12 years later demanding he marry her? He says Heck No, No Way! He may not have seen her since she was a kid, but at 18 years of age she has turned into a stunner. But still, her parents hate him, believing he got her brother killed because he followed Emmitt into the Marine Corp, she’s his best friend’s little sister who he feels a lot of guilt over his death and he can’t forget the 12 year age gap - just to mention a few of the thoughts going thru his head. He tries to explain that it was a kids pack not a valid one but Devyn isn’t giving up easily. She has issues of her own with her parents and Emmitt is and always was her hero. But what is he going to do, especially when the Cerberus MC welcomes her with open arms.

Like the 28 before it (and I have read and loved each and every one), Legacy is well written and packed full of excitement, romance and brotherhood. I can’t recommend this series and Legacy enough and this reader can’t wait for #29 as it looks like it’s going to be a dandy.

I am beginning to feel that I always start my reviews of this series the same way and, you would think after 28, I could come up with something more originally but, I am sorry to say I can't, as once again, Marie James has delivered another mouthwatering, emotional, captivating read, and left me wondering yet again where this talented author will go next in the series.

Legacy, AKA Emmett, is a new member of the MC, an ex-military man, as is most of Cerberus at 30 he feels he has found his place, and then 18-year-old Devyn turns up, she is the sister of his best friend who was tragically killed within the first couple of years they were in service, and not only that she has her journal with his signature that says if he isn't married by the time he turns 30 he will marry her!, Legacy fights the attraction for this much younger girl, deep down knowing his best friend would not be happy nor Devyn parents who still blame him for their son's death, but the heart wants what the heart wants, and it wants Devyn, for better or worse.

Legacy is a fast ride, with many bumps in the road, a great slow burn but still with loads of heat and a great ending, with a little snippet of what is to come next.

Phenomenal

Where do I even begin? I cannot believe this is book 28 of this series. It is unbelievable because the storylines are fresh and exciting with each book and it never gets stale. If anything, the writing & storylines get better and better each book.

Devyn and Legacy are the stars of this tale. I simply love each of these characters on their own and together - they are in my top 5 couples of the series.

Devyn is the girl I wish I had the strength to be when I was her age. I love her. Legacy is the man every woman deserves to have at her side.

The storyline crosses over into the larger multiverse that Marie has created and I LOVE it. We get a large tie in to the upcoming series in Lindell TX. A little mention of some of our favorite mercenaries. A road trip to our favorite exclusive club in Denver. And of course, many of our favorite people within Cerberus. Including a little bit more time spent with the original couple who started it all.

The spice level of this one is off the charts. WHEW! These 2 have serious chemistry that leaps off the pages.

To say that I loved this book would be a massive understatement but I do not have the words to describe how much this book has embedded into my heart. When is Amazon going to let me leave 100 stars?

Loved Legacy and Devyn!

Love this latest installment of Marie James' Cerberus MC series.

Some of my favorite tropes...

* Age Gap
* Best friend's little sister
* Found Family
* An honorable, loyal, hot as heck MMC
* Inexperienced but self-possessed and strong FMC

With nowhere else to go, Devyn shows up at the Cerberus MC clubhouse with a note signed by Legacy (Emmett) years ago, a promise to marry her if he wasn't already married when he turned 30. Will he honor a tongue-in-cheek promise made to his best friend's little sister? This was a true delight to read.

I really love how James wrote both of these MCs and that we got to see the Cerberus MC family at-large in action. Legacy is a newer member of the MC, but everyone rallies around him and Devyn as they get to know one another and as their love and relationship grows.

The bulk of this book was spent on their developing relationship, but there was trauma and tragedy toward the end, setting the reader up for a continuing storyline in future Cerberus MC books, as well as spinning off James' newest small town romance series based in Lindell, TX.

I can't wait for Stormy's book, and for the new Lindell books! Bravo, Marie! Another wonderful installment of one of my favorite romance series.

Marie James is making a Legacy with Cerberus

There are so many things I would like to say about Legacy, so please read the whole review. For those stumbling on Marie James for the first time, you will find a complete story in Legacy, and you will not be disappointed. If she is a new author for you, try this one on for size and mentally compare it to other authors. I guarantee you will start googling or "amazoning" to see what else she has written. You will then go to Cerberus Book #1, finish that series and then read all her series. I guarantee it. (I just might be speaking from experience.)

Now, for those who are followers of Marie James. I will not give any spoilers, but this story has intertwining plots. Many of the Cerberus members are also actively involved in this story. You get a little 'catch up' with a few members. I just love it when the OGs and other characters make more than just a mention. I also love to guess where the story will go next, and I couldn't do it with this book. It is that original. So, if you were thinking 27 books was enough for you, let me tell you not reading #28 will be a missed opportunity. Let the Legacy live on...

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Well, I lost another afternoon to this MC. Ask me if I'm upset... Nope!! Not at all.
I happily settled in for time with this club. This story is just as engaging and addictive as some of the first ones in this series.

I sincerely appreciate how this storyline moved. This couple's history, and reconnection is seriously entertaining and easy to connect with. The tie-ins to this author's other series (stories and characters) was fantastic, and I was pleased that I knew why and how they fit into this story, not to mention the OGs of the club!

As is the norm for each Cerberus couple, the chemistry between Legacy and Devyn is steamy and off the charts!! I appreciate how this club is welcoming to her, as she finds her purpose. And just as the story begins to wrap up, the unthinkable happens!! My pulse pounded and my emotions were a mess.

I loved the resolution to this one. There's so much to enjoy in these pages, and I encourage you to read this series in order, and the connected series for the best reading experience. I was fortunate to receive a free ARC, and I voluntarily leave my review. I cannot wait for more from this wildly talented author.

This is the 28th book in this phenomenal series, and this is Emmett / Legacy and Devyn’s story. Legacy wanted to continue with his family’s legacy and joins the marines, and his best friend Vaughn joins him. When Vaughn is KIA, his parents want nothing more to do with Legacy. Devyn was 6-years old when her brother was killed, and she became invisible to her parents through their grief, and she has always had dreams of becoming a fashion designer, which has her getting kicked out the house by her parents, with nowhere to go. Devyn tracks down Emmett determined to take up his promise to marry her, which is in one of her treasured journals, and walking into the MC with a preacher causes havoc. Legacy has his work cut out for him with the feisty and determined Devyn.
This is a well written story which is an action packed, emotional roller coaster, with family, friendships, loss, grief, loyalty, healing, humor, witty banter, romance, suspense, twists, and love, which leads to an entertaining, tragic, and steamy page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I started Cerberus series in November 2022 and even though this is the 28th book, each story has its own love story, tradgedy, and happy ending! This series has made me laugh and cry.

Book 28 in the Cerberus MC series gives us the story line of Emmett "Legacy" Wilson and Devyn Malloy.

Legacy and his best friend, Vaughn Malloy, had dreams and that dream was to enlist in the Marines and then become members of Cerberus. When tragedy strikes, only one man's dream comes true. And he feels the guilt of losing his best friend. And also, losing a second family, after the parents blame him for what happened to their son.

Twelve years later, after her parents give her an ultimatum, business school or move out, 18 year old Devyn Malloy, Vaughn's little sister, comes knocking on the clubhouse door demanding Legacy marry her like he promised when she was 6 years old. She has his signature to prove it.

Legacy has to deal with the feelings that he's developing for her and also, what would Vaughn think? But as they are around each other more, the love he has for her cannot be stopped, even with the age difference.

There was some MC drama and it leyd you know that things are not finished with the previous events that people thought they had finished off. Looks like that is going to remain for awhile longer which is good!

The next story with Stormy sounds awesome!

So good

Marie James can do no wrong in this series. Even though this is the 28th book im still wanting more. Where in Bishop (book 27) I missed having the interactions between the other cerberus members, Legacy and Devyn's story had not only them but so many of the members we already know and love along with the new guys making appearances. This story, like all the others keeps you engaged the entire time. I liked that there was no miscommunication between the characters. That drives me nuts in books especially romance when a simple conversation could solve whatever issues the characters are having. These two have the hard conversations rather than letting things fester, which is so great to see. I love a good found family for characters and Devyn definitely needed and found that with the Cerberus men and women. It was also refreshing seeing an MMC who considers himself vanilla. Its rare but was perfect for the FMC and made sense for these characters. I know this series can't last forever but Marie James just keeps turning out such great stories, with all these characters I fall in love with, so the selfish part of me is hoping she finds a way lol

Legacy is book 28 in the already AMAZING Cerberus MC series written by the talented author Marie James. Another engaging installment in this can't put down series, Marie James never disappoints with the Cerberus men. After the end in Bishop's (CMC27), I was looking forward to know what was happening with Legacy and the young woman that appear in the Cerberus Clubhouse during the birthday party. This is Legacy & Devyn Malloy emotional and charming story. Marie James has an outstanding way to write about this ex military group of men and their journey to find the one special person in life. I've always been team Kincaid, but I have to say that the author has a way of writing the best sexy strong alpha man for each story and Legacy is a big example. This book has the perfect mix of all the elements we love in her books; action, danger, drama, humor, banter, loyalty, trust, respect, family and romance. I am truly enjoying this stories with all the amazing characters that keep this series going. Each book is unique and extremely entertaining. Can't wait to reading Stormy's book.

Once again Marie James changes things up and gives us a little something different. When Legacy gets an unexpected visitor in the form of his dead best friend's sister, shock is not strong enough a word to describe his feelings. Devyn showing up out of the blue and expecting Legacy to uphold a promise given years ago, is a bit farfetched but it also shows just how desperate she is. Cerberus steps up in the way that they normally do and help Devyn out without Legacy having to marry her. But while Devyn is getting her feet under her and moving on with her life, Legacy is realizing that maybe he does want Devyn tied to him. Will he be able to convince her, or has he lost his shot?

Loved how this story went, it was a bit different from the past few books, but I truly feel that Marie James knows just what each couple needs, and this was perfect. This didn't need to be fast paced, in fact I loved just how patient Legacy was with Devyn. A perfect addition to this series and I give it 5 stars.

Legacy is the 28th book in the Cerberus MC and I can’t say enough about how each of these stories are unique and yet the series has a continuity to it that is amazing. I’m addicted to the Cerberus MC guys and this was no different. Legacy was best friends with Devyn’s brother. Her brother died serving our country and things aren’t the same at home for Devyn. Devyn decides to go against her parents wishes and follow her dream of becoming a fashion designer. With no one supporting her, she shows up at the Cerberus clubhouse to hold Legacy to a promise he made when they were younger.
I have to say the story of Legacy and Devyn and the way the Cerberus family was there 100% to support them. I can’t wait for the next book in the series

Hero (Legacy) 5 | Heroine (Devyn) 5 | Plot 5 | Writing Style 5 | Steam 5 | Romance 4 | Angst-Suspense 3 | Darkness 1 | Humor 2 | Secondary Characters 5 | Drama-Conflict 2 | Mystery 1 | Twists 2 | Action 1 | Pacing Steady | Dual POV | MF | Forbidden Love | Age Gap | Slow Burn | Overall 5 Stars

Legacy & Devyn's story

Cerberus MC is growing & I just can't wait to get to know more about the new guys soon.

Legacy's story was an emotional read from the beginning you'll get sucked in for sure. Devyn Malloy was a young talented Entrepreneur who showed up into Legacy's life & from the first time he saw her not as his best friend's little sister but a woman he was a goner lol like all the others before him lol. This was a good romance with a few unexpected twists & turns & of course another HEA for a fallen Cerberus who deserved to find his one.

I also must say Stormy is such an instigator but that scene near the end of this book got me excited to see what happens in his story! And of course I can't wait to see if anyone snags Oracle's attention too because though he likes to ruffle Legacy up he turned out to be a great guy who on the side was just helping these two out in their relationship like any good friend would.

Overall another great book & I hope you all enjoy it too.
