The respected gardening columnist offers sixty short pieces on subjects of interest to backyard gardeners and horticulturists, subjects ranging through a variety of flowers, their attractions and flaws, and their places in the garden
Home Ground: A Gardener’s Miscellany by Allen Lacy (Farrar Straus Giroux 1984) (635.9). This volume is a collection of essays by the former garden writer for the Wall Street Journal. This is quite a funny book. My rating: 7/10, finished 2004.
I like Allen Lacy and all of his books. He tends to always come up with something out of the ordinary to peak your attention and I always learn from his reads.
