He hadn't planned to fall in love...

Declan Malone was convinced Olivia was a threat to his cousin's marriage. True, she didn't seem the type to steal another woman's husband, but there was only one way to make absolutely sure: Declan must seduce Olivia himself!

With his looks, sex appeal and fabulous Notting Hill home, few women had been able to resist Declan -- but Olivia seemed determined to! Had Declan misjudged her and the more he wined and dined her, the more he wanted her-for real!

I liked this one. Just one point of discomfort. The heroine is initially hooked to a scum bag OM. Knowing fully well, he is very much married. She in fact winds up her life in the suburbs and moves to London to have a live-in relationship with him, even while he is still married. He does claim that he is estranged from his wife, and the lady is evil and all that. But heroines don't snatch other people's husbands as a rule. That's one thing that I couldn't swallow.

However, nothing really happens. Thanks to the hero. As soon as she lands up in London, she visits the OM's house which is in fact the hero'es house. The scum bag is married to the hero'es cousin you see. As soon as he opens the door -base chested , in a low slung towel - the heroine blurts out her brilliant plans of living in with the scum bag.

The hero works out a super fast brilliant plan to stop the innocent but stupid girl from committing a blunder. He puts her up in a bed sitter and keeps her away from the scum bag. After a while, he gets another jackpot idea. Use my own charm on the girl , lure her away from the scum bag. What starts as a luring attempt turns serious. Both of them fall seriously for each other.

The scum bag makes a customary appearance in the middle, tries his luck with the girl. But by then her blinkers about him are off.

A little bit of drama follows before the HEA. Good characters etched out by the author. Super stud hero. And the heroine is a little stupid with the OM, but she is a whiz with computers !!! A techie heroine, all is forgiven :)))

Olivia leaves Bristol for London where she intends to join married man (yes, this is on the taboo side) and, naturally, creepy, waste of space childhood crush Jeremy. She gets to the address and is met at the door by Declan in his bathrobe, owner of the lovely London house, TV documentary writer, Irish charmer and relative of Jeremy's wronged wife.
It's quite sweet on Olivia's introduction to London life, her laughably great experience of renting (those were the days) in Sasha's basement flat with access to the lovely large communal garden where she continues to encounter Declan. I have to be honest and declare a soft spot for the lovely Declan, who makes this readable despite the h's ridiculous attempt to forge a relationship with the very unappealing Jeremy.

The h has a relationship with a married man. She knows he is married, but that doesn’t stop her. She is still a virgin by the way.

She leaves for the married man’s house planning to live with him. There she meets the H, who is the cousin of the married man’s wife.

The h was annoying that she took the high moral ground against the H near the end of the book, telling him what he had done wrong. People in glass houses… Anyway, he was okay, she was not. Not worth it.

This was all sorts of terribly. The hero took it upon himself to save the marriage and bring the 'villain' who was actually the heroine to justice. Only to find out he was completely wrong about the heroine and pretty much everything. *BIG SIGH* Too much pride and arrogance for moi.
