The Sixth Edition of BRIEF APPLIED CALCULUS carries on the tradition of simple, clear, mathematically correct explanations of calculus--supported by relevant and engaging examples.
It's not a replacement for a real calculus textbook, but it is very good when you just want to get to the point of a topic. The problems are completely devoid of trigonometric functions, which is nice for easier practice. All in all it's well written and is perfect if you need supplemental material for the first two levels of calculus. It lacks a good bit of calculus 3 material, but what it does cover it does well!
