Book 16 in the popular Delphi in Space series. During the war with Thorea, Jason and Miranda are jumping through a wormhole when a power surge causes the wormhole to jump. The wake up to find themselves in another star system. With no contact with the Delphi League, they decide to land on a planet in the system. There they discover humans living in the stone age. Believing the system to be another Helike, they join one of the civilizations while they wait to be rescued. But like all worlds, there is greed and conflict. Jason and Miranda have to negotiate that while keeping their origins secret.
Bob Blanton has been an avid reader ever since his mother first took him to a library at age five. He has toyed with writing for years since college but was always too busy to start a novel. The "stone series" developed almost by itself as he was trying to sleep on long flights to Asia and Europe. He managed to write it and two follow-on novels while he was working, but never had the time to polish them. After he retired to the beach in Mexico, the only thing that competes with writing is the sound of the ocean and sunsets over the water. Now that he has published his series, he hopes you enjoy reading them as much as he has had writing them. Check back for other books as he continues to ply his new trade.
Now that he has published his series, he hopes you enjoy reading about Matthew and his developing powers as much as he has enjoyed writing about them.
Two castaways from a wormhole accident are trying to find a life on a pre industrialized world. They are waiting for Princess Catie to find and rescue them. However, after much time passes, they are beginning to give up hope. They are accepted by a local tribe and try to contribute to the wellbeing of the community. As they feared, a more advanced civilization arrives on their shores and proceeds to invade. How can they help the native population keep from being destroyed? I like the action, humor, and alternative history vibe. I look forward to the next book.
I am quite pleased with the detailed storyline and the character development, world building and technology integration in this installment. Especially after the disappointment from book 15. Following Jason and Miranda in this book was entertaining and interesting. The surprise at the end of the book sets the hook for the next installment, but fortunately it comes after all primary story threads for this book have been resolved.
I have read all of these books. The first ones flowed well. Then became tiresome with, what dress to wear, and small talk. This one has two marooned from Delphi on a planet at 1500_1600 in earth years. How they survived and worked with the natives. I enjoyed this one. Thanks to the author.
This story was a little different but not in a bad way ,it was basically about two of them getting shot through a wormhole and land on a planet that's in the beginning of its intelligence . They blend in and try to make things better. Good storyline. Sorry I'm not a spoiler of stories.
I could not wait for the book to come out and I started reading it this morning and could not stop. It kept my interest all the way through. Now I will have to patiently wait for the next Delphi book. :(
Book was an awesome continuation of the series. Can’t wait for the next one, and I’m probably going to listen to them all again on audiobook. That Cliff at the end, though, it’s sure a doozy.
I have enjoyed reading (Delphi Castaways). The two plot lines described two different types of the same problem. How much help is needed before you share too much. Looking forward to reading your next Delphi book. Please make it soon.
Although I get excited whenever the next episode comes out, Bob writes such real stories that I’d love to read more about what happened to those characters left behind!
I liked the story. The two MC's land in a place like early America that gets invaded by a place like 1500 Spain. They help their adopted people. It's an adventure that has an unexpected ending.
This was a departure from the previous books in a way, but what a fantastic story! The cliffy at the end was just evil, which means I really need to read the next installment soon!
I love the Delphi series...every book has been a joy to read. Bob Blanton keeps hitting home runs...great concept, rich characters, excellent well executed stories. I can't await for the next book...these need to be a tv series.
A bit different than the other Delphi stories. Two space force members are marooned on a primitive planet and use their knowledge to make the lives of the natives better. A great read.
This has to be one of the best science fiction series I have read in many years. The characters and story line are easy to keep up with. I can only hope the next book in the series comes soon. Thank you to the author.
This book of some people getting stranded on a Earth like planet right as the Europeans start their destruction conquest of the Natives of America was neat. Of course our guys helped and would be interesting to see what happens next.
I just finished, I had re read the entire series and found this to be a great book and series, I am looking forward to reading more. I thank you your hard work and look forward to many more.
I have really gotten to this series. I wish they would come out sooner, however. Interesting theme. Good guess on what someone stranded in the past would do.
This Really opens up the story ark of this book series. Can't wait For the next book to see which way they go, Like to see more of this style of story.
You will love this different direction the Series goes in. I also like Jason and Miranda. Smart and capable they help planet natives against opponents.
As expected yada yada yada. Simple minded and straightforward but of course book sixteen and hopefully this is enough. If food, it’d be gas station food.
The Arthur has a preferred view of history and has one family that has a strangle hold on technology keeping the other nations and planets from advancing
It would nice if Delphi diversion was corrected in Amazon kindle unlimited. Books 11 and 12 have the same content. I would like to read Delphi diversion. Thank you
