After years working with makeup artists and hairstylists, Stephanie Seymour provides real-world advice on everything from selecting quality cosmetics for any skin type and colour to choosing the right hairstyles for all kinds of occasions. Using over 100 colour photographs and illustrations, she also shows how to complement facial features and gives time-saving for women of all ages.
I love the Dummies series and this is no exception. Basically, a book on good grooming for women with sections on Skin Care, Hair, Makeup and Home Spa. The waterlogged chapter on "Stephanie's Home Spa Regimen" testifies on my good use of the book. I appreciated the listing of "Beauty-Related Web Sites." If there's a downside to the book, it's that it was published 1998, and hair and makeup styles and products date fast. Still a lot of useful information though.
In my book, more information is better than anything. I want to almost be overwhelmed with information when it comes to make-up, fashion, and style. This book had me covered.
