The followup to _Sparrowhawk_ leaps ahead 40 years to 2084. One character from the original novel makes an appearance in _Greenhouse_. Two apparently unrelated stories are woven together as childhood friends reunite to deal with the personal consequences of the Biological Revolution. Character interaction is much more believable this time around.
