A fascinating read on the state of young men in America. I found it equal parts sobering and startling, and ultimately a wake-up call to meet boys where they're at. Duffy's anecdotes are timely and his suggestions are strong.

I read this book as research for my thesis, but I highly recommend it for anyone raising preteen or teen boys. It gives lots of valuable advice.

Fascinating Insights

This book does a nice job illuminating theories on why AND how boys are not thriving in the modern context. Duffy weaves personal experience and anecdotes from his mental health practices to illustrate and provide evidence of his theories and their merits. To end, he includes a very robust resource guide. Definitely worth a read for the future and current teenage boy parents.
