I enjoyed reading this text book for my school law and ethics class for my Ed.S. It is written in a way that is easy to follow, even if you do not know much about law. Each chapter contains real world scenarios connected to the content to discuss or think about as you read the chapter. The drawback is that it is written in 2012, so it is a little bit dated. I wish Stader would write an updated edition.

As is usual with textbooks, I find it hard to review. That being said, I found this book much easier to read and much more informative than many of the other textbooks that I have read, especially education textbooks. The scenarios, however, could use some work to make them a bit more realistic and much less one sided.

This book is poorly edited and occasionally misstates the results of court cases. If this is your educational law textbook, do your own independent research of the cited case law to make sure you know what the effect of the rulings are.
