EdPsych: Modules

Rate this book
Ed Psych Modules. For ALL your students.
Ed Psych Modules speaks to all students regardless of their intended age stage specialization. With four case studies – early childhood, elementary, middle school, and secondary -- for each cluster of modules, your students effectively connect theory and practice using these realistic cases. Written to be used in any order, these modules and clusters give you maximum flexibility in organizing your course. The authors have also limited the use of boxes and other sidebars in order to ensure students identify and understand the core concepts of educational psychology.

While a bit dated this is actually a very good textbook. In fact, I changed my rental to a purchase so that I could use it for reference with my other educational classes. And although I didn't update my progress along the way, we ended up covering every unit and chapter in the book.

Note: for my class, I only read selected chapters, probably about 2/3rds of the book.

A very readable survey --- I especially liked the case studies at the beginning of each few modules and the questions referring back to them at the end of each module. I would have preferred a bit more emphasis on mathematics over reading, but otherwise very informative.
