This really is a good series on the whole. So much good could be said about it. A few minor quips, like the vast bibliographies which are suggested for further reading -- about 99% of the recommendations come from the 20th century. There's nothing wrong with that per se, but it just seems to be caught up a little in that 20th century American Catholic movement which believed it was the best and which had such huge hopes for saving the world. Self-referential, they might have done well to reach a little farther back into the treasure troves of Catholic Wisdom...
