This is a really excellent little book, very well-written, clear, concise and engaging. We borrowed it from the Library, but have now bought our own copy, well worth the money, to add to our gardening bookshelf and for ongoing reference, as we are busy rewilding and landscaping the large mono cultural garden we moved to in Wales.

Highly recommended!

This book introduces methods for creating a natural garden where plants and animals can live comfortably.

A while ago, when I was watching a video introducing the homes of celebrities on the YouTube channel of the women's magazine "Vogue".

I noticed that Gwyneth Paltrow lived in a mansion with a garden similar to the one in the book, and it was very nice and impressive.

There was a garden full of nature on a vast site, and she was walking barefoot.
Everything was inspired by nature, such as picking apples in the garden and taking a bath made in Malta.

Today's people live in a tech society and spend hours staring at smartphones and screens.
This book taught me the importance of experiencing the richness of nature even just a little.

This is by far the best wildlife gardening book I've ever read. I just couldn't out it down and read it within a day! I'm about to get my first garden and whilst I understand beneficial plants, ponds and the needs of wildlife, what this book has given me is a wealth of knowledge (and an ongoing reference) for design, aspect and maintenance. I feel so much more comfortable that I can get the most out of my space. Thank you Joel and Jim!

Inspiring and useful reference - I want to dig a big garden now! Only irritation was using common names instead of the Latin binomial species names throughout the text but they did give the species names in the plant lists at the end.

This beautiful book is encouraging and inspiring. There are loads of suggestions to try and unlike some books on the topic it's not depressing, and doesn't assume every gardener either has 10 acres or a window box, but offers ideas for all sizes of garden.

This was recommended by a friend after I told him that I wanted to add a wildlife pond to our not-huge garden. It was of enormous help for the pond and for other aspects of our fledgling wildlife garden and will be excellent to refer back to when needed.
