The book talks about everything blue one would come across. The illustrations of the book are detailed enough for one to notice what they are. The vocabulary in the book is not hard for the children to comprehend. The book is good when talking about the color blue.

Again I love this series and how it can be adapted to many age groups. With toddlers and babies I read the straight up text and with preschoolers I add in the nonfiction blurps. This book is simple and clear in it's color objective. I have the kids act out or sound like some of the pictures which gets them more involved.

Great book -- simple text, wonderful photographs that are beautiful. I love when books inspire Faith to want to learn about different things. Blue poison dart frogs, bluebirds, Western Pygmy Blue butterflies...

This series of books is an awesome tool for learning your colors. Blue describes all the things we come into contact every day, and shows detail and information on what these things are and their purpose.

This book explains what blue is. Blue is the sky and blue is bright. A whale can also be blue along with the great big ocean. Blueberries are blue and they are round and juicy. There are many blue animals like birds, butterflies, and lizards. Ribbons can also be blue and so can hats. This would be a great book when teaching a lesson over colors. It would also be helpful when teaching a unit over animals. One activity a teacher could have their students do is bring something in that is blue and share it with the class.
