Whispered from the Grave: An Anthology of Ghostly Tales

Rate this book
Listen. Quietly echoing in a cold graveyard's breeze -- a distant murmur from beyond, the sad wails of the dead, whispered from the grave to mortal ears with grim and terrifying tales of desires unfilfilled, of dark vengence, of sorrow, of forgiveness and love transcending death.

Some of dark fiction's best new writers and familiar favorites spin their most frightening and provcative tales of ghosts and hauntings, each story a terrifying voice from beyond, whispered from the grave.

This book started off strong and promising but towards the middle started to go downhill. A couple of stories that kept me breathless had terrible endings leaving me disappointed and almost angry that I'd wasted my time getting so caught up in them.
A couple of the stories were also way too long and can only be called boring such as the one set in a blues club.
I had looked forward to reading this book for a long time and it was much better in anticipating than the actual reading.
In summation, its ok to kill time with for a couple of nights but not a book I'd ever read again.
