The wicked man in this story was "a nut job". However, Dillon and Carly were a lovely couple. It got a bit tense at the end, with Carly getting kidnapped, but along came her hero, Dillon, to save her. A very happily ever after. Good story with lots of angst. 4☆

what a cute short novel whilst waiting for my next books to be collected from the local library!
Carly is a vivacious young lady that likes to have fun and being the weekend prize in a game of cards leads her on a path of exciting passion and near deadly trauma ... Dillon the youngest of the Cameron clan really likes Carly but doesn't like her ex who gives off a strange and dangerous vibe! Geoff cannot forget Carly nor can he forgive her for rejecting him and seems to pop up always in the most inappropriate times! Will Dillon be the handsome knight to rescue Carly or will she end up being a sad statistic on a police report? Sometimes one needs these little interludes to get creativity a blast!

Carly Abbot is a writer who loves having some fun but not at the expense of her heart. When she attends a wedding of her best friend she finds herself attracted to Dillon Cameron, brother of the groom. Dillon is a hardworking ranch man who knows how to treat a lady and the lady he wants is Carly. Dillon and Carly end up at an after the reception party and he wins Carly in a bet on a game of cards. This is a great book in the series but was read as a standalone. Small town, suspenseful cowboy romance!

Always a great book from this Author
The Author again paints a picture of the characters and area that draws you into the story line! If you love cowboy stories and a good love story you will definitely want to read this book. This is another amazing book from this Author I have enjoyed it also. The characters overlap in her books but can be read as a standalone. But I think you will be like me and want more of her stories and the families in her books. Highly recommend you try this Author and her books cause like me ...you will definitely want more!

YES!
A strong woman who's had enough of cheating men. A sexy cowboy who sees what he wants and goes after her. A MANIAC stalker. This book was soo good.
I really like these two together, I fell in love with Dillon myself! After what Carly went through, I can understand why she believed the tale so quickly. I'm glad that she never stopped thinking even when self preservation made her stop fighting.
Can you say Cray Cray stalker? If you can't, after you read about this one you will think twice about running into someone more than once!
I do recommend this one.

Content Warning: A large part of this book includes Geoff, an obsessed, psychopath intent on kidnapping and raping Carly, the FMC.
Dillon wins Carly in a bet...one that Carly could have said no to...they get to know one another, but Carly keeps having a feeling she's being watched...which she is.
The story turns dark and violent when Geoff kidnaps Carly...
As long as you're aware of how dark the story goes, I guess I would recommend this book.

Whilst I wasn't expecting ugliness with the romance, I was pleased to see that Cheyenne gave Carly the courage and brains to take on her attacker and not just hope that her cowboy would save her.
Outside of the distraction, that I probably would have preferred wasn't part of the story, I loved the plot and the connection between Dillon and Carly. I also liked the genuineness of the other characters in the story as well.

This is a well written story with great characters. This one has some twists so pay attention or you will miss things. For me this was a quick read but then I couldn't put it down. This one is worth your time. I think you will enjoy this one I know I did. Go get it and enjoy.

One of the best books of the series, but can be read as a standalone. The storyline is tightly wound, suspense and twists and turns keeping your attention throughout this steamy romantic suspense.

We first meet Carly Abbot in Champagne and Chaps. She’s Sabrina’s best friend and now the maid-of-honor at her wedding. Dillon Cameron wants Carly in the worst way but she’s dating a friend of his and won’t cross that line. After talking with Mike, the road to Carly is paved…..with a deck of cards!
This installment of the Rough and Ready series started off really light-hearted and fun. Dillon wins Carly in a card game after Wyatt and Sabrina’s wedding. What happens from here will have you smiling, laughing, feeling oh-so-sorry for Dillon and then cheering Carly on when she finally gives in to Dillon. The past comes back to haunt Carly and Dillon will not give up until he has Carly back – heart, soul and body! And, gawd, when she finally gives in to him…..get a fan and a cold drink….sit back and enjoy the fun! If this is “taking it slow” then the slower the better for me.
The intrigue in Satin and Saddles does surround Carly’s past and Cheyenne did a wonderful job in incorporating it into the story. She has you guessing as to what is going to happen next and how Carly is going to get away from her stalker. Dillon is her champion and will stop at nothing to make sure she is back with him and safe. Loved the ending and how he proposed. Yea, there is an HEA!

2.5 stars Do you ever get the feeling that an author has written a villain in a specific way to satisfy the darker sexual urges of some readers?
Aside from the fact that Carly would not be a willing participant and Geoff technically wants to torture and punish her, what he plans on doing to her is really just a sub-genre of BDSM. He wants to repeatedly choke her, which is known as breath play or autoerotic asphyxiation.
Breath play is not something I've seen in any of the eroticas I've previously read, so I've assumed that it's considered "too much" for mainstream publishing. Which is why I find it interesting that the first time I see it used, it's being used by the villain as a form of torture.
Anyway, as for this story... Meh. As soon as Carly was like "No, I'll be fine. Don't worry." I knew shit was about to go down. Hearing strange noises in your home? No biggie, stop jumping at shadows, silly! Stupid. Things got pretty dark there at the climax, which was a nice balance for the sickly sweet romance. Still, I'm ambivalent about the whole thing.

Okay so a few things...
1. I finished this book in a few hours (5 hours to be exact...that was with the times I actually put it down for 5 minutes at a time.)
2. This was an amazing story
3. I didn't want it to end
Yea so I started this book right after finishing the 4th book, and I loved how it started where the last book ended. I also LOVED the story, it was so well written and very beleiveable. Not just believeable but it had me so engrossed that I could NOT put it down.
As I stated before I didn't want it to end, and this is by far my FAVORITE book in this series!
If you haven't read this series do it if for nothing other than this book itself!

The last of the Cameron brothers, finally! I was super stoked to see how it ends off. I've already read the sixth book which just came out (May 24th, 2012) and I loved it, so I went back into the series and started to read a book one. None of the books really give away at the next characters in the books and this was really no different. I was glad to see the heroine with such an amazing hero. They saved one of the best for one of the last!

This was a great follow up to book 3. This story was action packed and intense at some parts, but fun and easy going at other points. Out of all of the books in this series this had the best action and bit your nails parts. I was able to relate to Carly, which was nice. Dillon is a sexy cowboy that is there for Carly in every way. The ending was a little cheese, but I liked it.
This was a very good story and I cannot wait to read the next story.

hair raising
This is not a book to read before you go to bed as you will have to finish it and then the dreams....Lets just say start this in the morning. She really pulls you into this story where you are jumping when you hear a noise one minute and then melting as she is getting kissed the next. This will be a great reread.
