The New Girl is okay, but not the best InnerstarU book. As a whole it mostly makes sense, but many of the individual storylines feel a bit disjointed. It seems like the author originally had two different ideas for a plot (meeting a new student, and a school field-day-style competition) and then they were kind of smooshed into one book.

I purchased this for a young girl at my church but I had to check it out before I passed it on. This is a great book and I love how it makes the reader think and make decisions throughout the book. Wonderful book!!
