What is there to say about Chrissie Bentley that hasn’t already been said? Or, at least, scrawled on a rest room wall somewhere between this coast and that one, and in a few more exotic overseas locales as well?
Introductions. Although most of her friends and readers know her as Chrissie Bentley, she started (and continues) her fiction-writing career under the name of Naughty Miranda. That was back in September 2004, when the short story “And So It Begins” appeared at EroticStories.com – exactly one year and one week after the first in what she describes as a “horribly unconvincing” string of nine stories appeared under an inexplicably-adopted male pseudonym.
“And So It Begins” was well-titled. Other tales quickly followed including the first of her Ambrose Horne detective adventures, "A Man Of Letters,” published under the pseudonym Sir Arthur Coital-Drill. Within months, a correspondent for the respected philatelic journal Linn’s Stamp News had a letter published recommending another Ambrose story, “The Congealed Conundrum,” to the stamp collecting community, on the strength of its philatelic content!
The majority of Chrissie’s earliest tales also found their way to EroticStories.com, so we probably don’t need to elaborate on what sort of stories they are. Suffice to say, “Naughty Miranda” has established herself as a seemingly permanent Top Six fixture in the site’s favorite authors list, and while her once-prolific story-telling output has since faded to barely a dribble, she retains her popularity among the site's users..
Away from ES, Chrissie has published stories, articles and reviews across the net, including Literotica, xxxReplay, the Lusty Library, Yergus Novels, SMUT Magazine, Erika Lust’s Xobsessions, Ruthie’s Club, Sexis Magazine and many more.

I keep saying I am going to give up on short stories as they very often do not work for me. Then I get drawn into a collection like this one which explores an interesting theme and promises some hot and spicy content and ultimately end up wishing I hadn't.
The writing in a lot of these stories is pretty bad and in a few cases the premise was so far-fetched that it was difficult to take the story seriously. I will give the book credit for having women in their 30s and 40s as the protagonists in some of the stories and showing how sex and kinks are not just for young adults. This was really nice to see but I just wish the plots had given more. I didn't expect to be bored and rolling my eyes but unfortunately that's what happened.

This is a collection of 10 short stories of bdsm and domination erotica. I only actually liked about half the stories--the ones in which the female submitted--because that's just who I am. However, even the stories that I didn't like were extremely well told. In the world of dominance and submission, there are two kinds of implements: you've got your dowels from the local hardware store and you've got your rattan cane, long and whippy, with a handle carefully wrapped and centuries of satisfaction guaranteed standing behind each and every one ever created since the dawn of time. The dowel will get the job done, but there is no substitute for the cane, and this book is that fine length of rattan. The stories are grade A quality, all told in voices so similar that I'd have sworn it was a single author. The scenes are descriptive and imaginative. The seduction in each one breathtaking, and the sensual aspects sizzling hot. I was particularly fond of Deeper Access by Valerie Grey and Thawing Ms Frost by Kat Black (although I do wish Thawing had gone on longer, it ended right at the best part, imho). I'd cheerfully recommend this book to anyone with a fascination for all things dominant or submissive, and it doesn't matter which end of the cane you're one. There will be at least one story in this collection for you.

As the title & cover suggest, this is an anthology of short stories regarding BDSM-style erotica. There are 10 separate stories in this collection, written by different authors in a way that make the book flow as though it is simply one author's kinky little black (and blue) book. As a matter of personal opinion, I did prefer the stories in which the females were the subs.
I'm quite picky when it comes to erotica, because so often (in my opinion) the language kills the mood. Within this anthology, however, I found it to be a very good balance of lustful & raunchy, without coming across as trashy.
The two I liked best were Deeper Access & Life Begins at Forty, which I know is a bit contrary to my previous preferences. However, each in turn is a good read, & I found myself craving each story.
I recommend this mix for anyone who likes a bit of whips & chains, be you sub or dom, you'll have something to enjoy.
