Dear Reader,

These stories of classic romance are among my favorites—and I welcomed the chance to revise them for today’s reader.

Take a SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY and meet Jessica Thorne. The up-and-coming advertising executive just ran into Brodie Hayes, her older sister’s former flame, but she hardly recognized him. Back then, Brodie Hayes was a poor kid from the wrong side of the tracks—but he’s a multimillionaire now. If only Jessica knew for sure that he wants her—and not her sister.

Coley McGuire hopes to make a new start in life, and falling in love with rancher Jason Savage isn’t part of the plan. She’s looking forward to a bright, happy future...but Jase is haunted by the shadows of his past—which may well threaten his claim to the SAVAGE LAND...

You’ll find true romance and real-life heroes in these books!

With love,

Janet Anne Haradon Dailey was an American author of numerous romance novels as Janet Dailey (her married name). Her novels have been translated into nineteen languages and have sold over 300 million copies worldwide.

Born in 1944 in Storm Lake, Iowa, she attended secretarial school in Omaha, Nebraska before meeting her husband, Bill. Bill and Janet worked together in construction and land development until they "retired" to travel throughout the United States, inspiring Janet to write the Americana series of romances, where she set a novel in every state of the Union. In 1974, Janet Dailey was the first American author to write for Harlequin. Her first novel was NO QUARTER ASKED.

She had since gone on to write approximately 90 novels, 21 of which have appeared on the New York Times Bestseller List. She won many awards and accolades for her work, appearing widely on Radio and Television. Today, there are over three hundred million Janet Dailey books in print in 19 different languages, making her one of the most popular novelists in the world.

Janet Dailey passed away peacefully in her home in Branson on Saturday, December 14, 2013. She was 69.

Sentimental Journey (Tennessee, Americana, #42)
I gave this 3.5 to 4 stars. It was a edgy romance just like the main male character. It was full of rough edges as well reflecting again the dominant personality of the male!

Savage Land (Texas,Americana #43)
I give this 4 stars. This was a very dramatic story. It felt it was actually part of a bigger series. There were some sweet parts which helped balance things out nicely.

Disappointed in this book. I didnt realize it was a 're-release" of two prior books of Janet Dailey's in one under a new title. Felt cheated somewhat by that, considering I thought it was a newer book. Thankfully, either I hadn't read either book ... or it's been so long ago I didn't remember the storylines (I've been reading Janet Dailey for 30 years+) Savage Land was the better of the two books.
