Well, I had to pick this one up for the cover (it's Wendy Torrance from Kubrick's film "Shining). Primarily we aren't into Shining here but Psycho. All began in 1960, in Bate's Motel. Here you'll learn what is a shocker, women as victims, terror and controversy, top shocker directors, blood with (some) restraint, stalk and slash. The book closes with the best and the worst of 10 representative films. This was a very informative and entertaining read. I especially liked the great carefully chosen black and white photos (often gory) who caught up in a fine way with the film they were taken from. Top shocking non fiction. Highly recommended!
