Immediately after I started this study, I felt a whole new connection to God. The reader quickly realizes this is not about changing your husband, or making him into the man you want. This is about strengthening your own prayer life, learning how to pray with a pure heart, and seeing how God works in your life, your husband's life, and in your marriage. This study was a blessing to me as much as it was, though he was unaware, to my husband. I immediately saw results, and I immediately saw the enemy attack me.

I really like how Stormie makes you deal with yourself and your own blinders before working on your prayer life for your husband. You have to come to God with a clear and pure heart to say sincere and effective prayers. My prayer life has grown tremendously and my husband and I have a whole new connection and strength in our marriage that we did not have one year ago. My demeanor is calmer and more understanding and patient and loving because I know I have God's ear and I can put all my trust truly in Him. This will be one book that I will continually read and use as a prayer guide. I'm looking forward to trying her other "Praying" books.

I decided to not fully finish this book. I wanted to know what it was all about and I feel I do. I thought her topics and prayers were valid but shallow. Her purpose in praying is to make your life AMAZING, and it made it seem like an average person's life was not good enough, unfulfilled, and almost wasted.
In the Lutheran church, we teach about vocation. We are doing what God wants right where we are. My life right now is a mom to 2 small children, one on the way, staying home with them and my husband is attending seminary so we are "living on a prayer". It is perfect. Do I need to pray more? Definitely. Do I need to pray about the topics she covered? Often, yes. Is my life less than it could be because I'm not? Probably not. Rather, I attend Divine Service regularly with my family, I receive the blessings God has given me. When I fail to pray on my own, my pastor and my church cover me in the corporate prayers each week. But even better, I partake in Jesus Christ's very body and blood, directly giving me forgiveness an renewal.
I repent of my sins, and I am forgiven. Christ is enough.
I yearn to pray more (and read Scripture), and usually this comes in waves for me. But my personal piety, as wavering as it is, is nothing compared to my Heavenly Father's unwavering love, forgiveness and grace to me. Thanks be to God!

i'm almost finished with the bible study version of this, and it's very good. the author really makes you look up a lot of Scriptures, so it helped me become more familiar with certain bible stories/characters. especially toward the end of the study, it became more and more relevant to my own life. the dvd sessions that our group did were just okay... but our discussions about the study were always awesome.

This book threw me a lifeline. I can’t count how many times I cried on this book journey. This book opened my heart to so many revelations & realizations. I was in the state where I think I hit rock bottom & this book helped save me. This book taught me how prayer plays a vital role in our Christian walk & relationship with Jesus. This is the best, my favorite book ever! Best of best.

I'm definitely a fan of this series. Often, I get in a "prayer rut," and this book has helped me pray for lots of different areas of my life. I've also read the Power of a Praying Wife and have given away copies of other books in the series to others. This is definitely a resource book that I plan on hanging onto.
