Typical famous person quasi memoir with small picks of wisdom. It feels like there is a pandemic of new books written by uneducated people about “life” with zero scientific substance to back it up.

Also because they believe their lives are so fascinating they share that too but it’s just simply not that interesting to me. Or profound. Or funny. Or helpful. Or….anything other than a waste of time.

This is a fun and charming little book that chronicles the life and experiences of Kristen Chenowith. Interspersed throughout are fun charts, quotes and bulleted lists of the "stuff" that she has learned in life. She is extraordinarily positive, even when talking about the dark parts of her life. Her writing is fun, uplifting, bubbly and with a whole lot of pink thrown in.

Boring. 🥱 Her constant cheerfulness throughout was very one note. At the VERY end she shares some darker thoughts but it was rushed and swept under the rug.

The Ariana Grande part was cool. I really wanted to like this. I’m a fan, but this was boring. Maybe I’ve just grown out of my “theater people” phase.

Kristin Chenowith is such a sweetheart. I adore this book. It's honest and quirky. This is a book you HAVE to listen to on an audio book to truly enjoy it in it's truest form. To hear her narrate was more powerful than just reading it with my own eyes. It brought her journey to life in the way she meant for it to be received.

2.5 stars rounded to 3.

i don't really know the point of this book, maybe it should not be an audiobook. At times it felt like a memoir and at times a coffee table book. I wouldn't say it's a book about faith or philosophy or a memoir. 🤷‍♀️ It didn't really have much I would consider "meditations." I love Kristen Chenowith, she's a lovely person. Maybe I need to try her other book.

I honestly wouldn’t bother. While I did learn little tid bits here and there, it was mostly just disjointed ramblings. I considered not finishing, but it was only a 3 hour listen (audiobook), so I just made it through. Not sure if she has a real autobiography or not, but I’d be interested in something more real.

My mom and I listened to this on our drive back from Monterey. Kristin is so pleasant. But the book fell flat. Still love her though. :)

I find Kristen cute as a button. To like this you do need to like her and also you have to be ok that a lot
Of what she says is faith based. That being said there were some good little nuggets and I enjoyed listening to this.
