Tynan, who has been living in an RV since 2006, shares all of his hard won secrets of RV living in this book.
I was disappointed that the book was not about how to live in an RV but rather about how to modify an RV. Admittedly, some of the changes improved living conditions. There were a few words on following local laws, using a commercial PO box, and draining water into the street, but mostly it was about upgrades for cheap RV equipment.
Nothing but straight forward advice for how to live in an RV full-time - goes over modifications for electric including solar panels. Would be a major bonus for folks with or considering a 95-96 Winnebago Rialta such as this man has and recommends for convenient parking and minimalist living.
Much more of a "how-to" than a "why-to" book: definitely for the DIY types, though it gives those of us who aren't a deep appreciation for what it takes to make "van life" a reality. You have to almost entirely gut the "factory settings" of your vehicle.
I was truly amazed at the choices available to RVers. The author not only made suggestions but when on to explain his rationale. Instead of being a boring how to book, I actually felt like I was there with him. Excellent book all around. Must read even if your not planning to live in your RV full time.
Targeted at full time users, and many tips targeted specifically at the model of RV the author owns, but still extremely useful. Quick read and well worth a few dollars.
