Fat Bat and Swoop

Rate this book
A slightly spooky nighttime adventure for beginning readers

Fat Bat and Swoop the owl love to make mischief. When they fly through a clothesline and come out looking like ghosts, they know it’s time for some fun. And Emily is the perfect target for their prank—she’s quite a nice cow, except that she moos too much. But when their plan backfires, Fat Bat and Swoop find out that even very different people can become good friends.

Sweet, silly humor and just the right amount of spookiness make this a perfect chapter book for young readers.

Fat Bat and Swoop are a little bit naughty wanting to cause mischief in the middle of the night. While chasing a mouse they get caught up in washing on a line and end up scarying a cow, but who who gets the last laugh?

A perfect scenario to teach kids not to be naughty all the while being funny and keeping them hooked until the end. Great early chapter book.

This is a good early chapter book with the usual buddy theme, a little mischief, and some karma. B/W illustrations but quite emotive.

When an owl and a bat collide with sheets on a clothesline, some scary fun begins. Short chapters will appeal to grades K-2.
