I was happy with my life. And who wouldn’t be? Beautiful women, money, a job that I could sleep through and still make bank. But I was bored. And I never could walk away from a challenge. This challenge turned out to be brunette. Feisty. Just the way I like them. But innocent. Too innocent for me. Too innocent to do anything other than sample and then toss back. Anything more would be too risky, too much work.I was unprepared for Julia Campbell. I should have done my homework, should have looked before jumping off that cliff. Ditching her proved to be problematic, my sexual needs greater than my common sense. She was different. She became more than a challenge. She may just bring my world crashing down.*This novella is meant to complement, and be read after, Blindfolded Innocence, a #1 Erotica Bestseller.

★★★★! The Diary of Brad De Luca, book 1.5 of 3. Brad De Luca’s POV of key events in book 1!

“This girl was a poison that could ruin him. She was innocent, inexperienced, yet burned with fire, curiosity, and challenge. His body was ready for the task, pushing against the starting gate, wanting to fuck her senseless and brand her forever as his own. His mind was backing away with hands up, fear and panic gripping his chest.”

Books should be read in order:
Book 1: Blindfolded Innocence
Book 1.5: The Diary of Brad De Luca
Book 2: Masked Innocence
Book 3: End Of The Innocence

The Diary of Brad De Luca (book 1.5) is a novella that should only be read after book 1, Blindfolded Innocence. Told from Brad’s POV it covers a few key events from book 1; from how he first learned of Julia and their first meeting to what set him on a course of seduction .

It provides a rare glimpse into his mind and some depth and answers. It gave me a better understanding of how complex Brad is. He is haunted by inner turmoil that will likely carry on in next-coming books. In my opinion, a must read to get the full experience of the series!

BRADLEY DE LUCA, BRAD:
34 years/”boss”/senior partner/divorce attorney/business man/$$$$/black hair/brown eyes/divorced.

Seven words to describe Brad De Luca: Relentless, charismatic, enigmatic, commanding, easy-going, unapologetic and complex.

Story ends shortly before book 1 and that would be my only grievance. I wanted more Brad! I am only too happy to have an ARC for book 2, Masked Innocence for the continuation of their story!

Addictive and forbidden boss-intern relationship! Priceless glimpse into sexy manwhore, Brad De Luca!

“I was unprepared for Julia Campbell. I should have done my homework, should have looked before diving into unfamiliar waters. Ditching her proved to be problematic, my sexual needs greater than my common sense.”

This is a 5 STAR SERIES!!
So I find myself compelled to give 5

Brad with his particular sexual needs, a pleaser of women but a man who doesn't 'do' relationships, is suddenly faced with someone he finds fascinating... Where would it take him?

This novella is told entirely from Brad's point of view and is meant as a companion to the first book in the series. It highlights certain scenes from Brad and Julia's initial story, Blindfolded Innocence.

She became a challenge.

I debated considerably as to whether I should read this little novella. Would it add anything for me? To the characters or the story?

"...one night with her could be well worth the downfall."

Various friends, as always, had various opinions. Those who were unsure of their Brad-love in the first book seemed to warm to him a little more, hearing his perspective. I was already a Brad De Luca Lover so, for me personally I found it didn't add any development to the characters or the story but in essence it was a little treat of extra's, all in the name of Brad, and I'll take a dash of extra Brad any which way I can. How about you?

Her potential for what? Well, you need to read the epic Innocence series and discover for yourself. Experience Mr De Luca

**3.75 Mr. De Luca stars**

THE DIARY of BRAD DE LUCA is a novella that gives the reader an insight into Mr. De Luca's head from certain scenes in Blindfolded Innocence.

Gaining this knowledge about Mr. De Luca's thought process helped me understand his attraction to Julia and why it went beyond just her appearance.

4 "BRAD, PLEASE GET A SET OF YOUR BALLS BACK!" STARS

I read Blindfolded Innocence over a year ago and there are two things that I remember about it:

1. I LOVED Brad.

&

2. I HATED Julia.

FF to now.

Some things never change. Still like Brad. I said 'LIKE' because being in his head for the 2/3rds of this novella was awesome but then he decided to grow a vagina.

Still can't stand Julia. Thank God her presence wasn't that significant in this book. I hope the next book is written in his POV (or at least alternating) because Julia's character makes me want to poke my eyeballs out so I can never read about her in print and then stick them in my ears in case this series comes out in audio format.

I am still giving this 4 stars because it was told from Brad's POV. I get wanting to nail something 'innocent' but nail it and move on, for fuck sakes! I can't see the future for these two and, judging by the blurb for book 3, I may be right (unless I completely misread it).

Cheers!

This will be a quickie review for a quickie book.

To be honest, as much as I love this series, I think this book would have served better as a free bonus scene as opposed to a novella. As much as I was looking forward to getting into Brad's head, I don't feel like this gave me more than I already got from the first book. At 55 pages, it took me all of 30 minutes to read it.

I would recommend reading this immediately after finishing book 1, as it will give you a much better understanding of some of the things Brad did. The Diary of Brad De Luca gives us a sneak peak into the enigma that is Brad. I think that Alessandra does an amazing job with her characterization. So much so, that I was able to understand things about Brad in book 1 even without having his POV. There were a few things I discovered here that I had no idea about before. .

I had completely forgotten that I had this book before reading book 2, so I read it somewhat out of order. Maybe that's why I was left feeling the way that I did about it? *Shrugs*

"Can't wait to get in his head"..

Well, those were my thoughts prior to reading this tiny novella. Surprisingly enough, I already WAS in his head. This book runs alongside the first book but in Brad's POV. It's uber quick and I really didn't learn a whole lot from it that I already didn't know or suspect.

If I didn't love Brad De Luca before, I sure do now. Poor tortured man-whore that he is...

Moving on to Masked Innocence.

First read 12/14/2017...1 star
Second read 12/6/2019...2.5 stars

Trying to clear 50+ of my “Currently Reading” shelf. I abandoned this kid series. I’m a masochist so I’m starting it over to figure out why.

I read this one simultaneously with the first novel and like it better. It filled in the holes of the first book.

H was with 2 or 3 OW. h got seriously frisky with a different OW while H was fucking another OW...same place, different rooms ;)

ORIGINAL REVIEW:

So disjointed.

And pointless.

The H only fucks OW in this novella. The simultaneous scenes in the first novel where the H/h get it on are absent. So what am I supposed to learn from this?

Fucking OW rated higher in this man’s “diary” than fucking the h???

It’s written in 3rd Person POV (unlike the h’s, which is 1st Person POV)...so we don’t even get in the headspace of H.

5 Inside Brad's Dirty Mind Stars
BR with the Girls: Elizabeth, Katy, Elle, Jessi, Jessica, Stephanie, Natalie, & Claudine

This was a really quick novella guiding us through what is going on inside Brad De Luca's mind during Blindfolded Innocence. For the most part, this was just a repeat of events that happened in Blindfolded Innocence but in Brad's POV. We did get a glimpse of a few things that were left out of the first book that added a lot more to how Brad is truly feeling about the not-as-innocent-as-she-appears intern, Julia Campbell.
On to the continuation of their story in Masked Innocence!! Truly loving everything about this series!!!

My full review for this series can be found in Blindfolded Innocence.
The first book was the best of the lot.
I am not a huge fan of series books. I get that some people want more of the same, over and over, in a perpetual loop, because they don't want the love story to ever end.
I have always preferred quality over quantity.
I think this should have been a two book series, at most.
Still, mighty fine writing from Alessandra Torre.

This is a quick read and gives us an insight into the mind of Brad De Luca.

About his thoughts and feelings about Julia and how this sassy innocent young lady has gotten under his skin working her way in and pulling at his heartstrings.

4 Cocky, Commanding, Confused, Consummate Stars * * * *

Do you know who Brad De Luca is?
If the answer is no, then please run do not walk to Blindfolded Innocence by Alessandra Torre and read it.

There you will find the Divorce God, know as Brad.
There you will experience the force; the charisma, the sheer power of the man.
There you will find everything you need to enjoy the insight that this little gem of a diary brings.
What are you waiting for... go... read it and then come back.

Now for all of those who have experienced the lush, hot, steamy thoughts of Brad... this is for you.

Is it a deep, thought provoking manuscript laced with reams of words dissecting every move on the Brad De Luca chessboard? No

But, oh, what it does give us is a taste, a tease and a way to see how this man thinks, tortures himself and wishes for something and someone who is a surprise to him.

We are lucky to experience this and we want more... more thoughts, actions .... just more.

Brad De Luca is coming to us soon with more... and this little nugget will have to hold us over until then.
Alessandra Torre has plans for us... she has kept us wanting and I will have to wait for a little while longer.

But until then, I have Brad De Luca whispering in my ear.

The Diary of Brad De Luca is a brief companion novella that highlights bits and pieces of Brad and Julia’s initial story in Blindfolded Innocence, but told entirely from Brad’s (3rd person) POV. It wasn't quite as satisfying as I hoped it would be but enjoyable nonetheless.

Alessandra Torre's Innocence trilogy includes the following installments as of December 2016:

#1.5-The Diary of Brad De Luca
#2-Masked Innocence
#3-End of the Innocence

***SPOILER ALERT DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE BOOK***

I am totally & utterly in love with Mr. De Luca, he oozes smoldering, dominant, sexy suit on a stick! This books is short, hot, & to the point where you get in his head & don't want to leave, but it's just enough to refresh your memory for the next book (which I am NOT so patiently waiting for ha ha). When I read the first book I was constantly wanting to know what he was thinking & why did he do that, so I was beyond thrilled when I found out that I would get exactly that.

I read through this book quickly because I was so excited & thoroughly entertained. I get that some of these books aren't for the faintest of hearts but I love a good Dom & he filled all the requirements in what I look for. I felt Brad's pain when he did everything in his power to stay away from the new intern, which you find out from his POV that she was specifically hidden from him by his co-workers, I thought that was funny & smart on their part. As they say curiosity killed the cat & that's what happens with Brad, he couldn't stay away once he had a little glance of the new sexy, young & innocent intern.

The strip club scene is one of my favorites, the fact that he owns the club was so intriguing to me, then he goes to have "his business" taken care of with one of his main girls just to get Julia off his mind & it so back fires on him. When he walks out after he has "done his business" he sees a side of Julia he likes & wonders what else he needs to know & find out about her... This book is amazing & the more I talk about it the more I want MASKED INNOCENCE (February 25th) can't get here soon enough!!!

This was a short novella that focused on parts of Blindfolded Innocence, but given to us in Brad's point of view. From the moments he met Julia, fought his attraction both with his need to claim her body and a unfamiliar feeling of just wanting her near. It was fantastically written, but understand that it is not a fluid novella, it leaps from scene to scene following along from the moment the interns were assigned until she leaves his house after the fight.

This provided a bit of depth to Brad's character that was not clearly displayed in BI. We see a little bit of vulnerability in the battle between what his heart and body wants. He knows that he can't deny himself the wants of part of who he is, but unable to stop the longing for something that holds much more value than just a night of sexual pleasure.

Between the ending scenes in BI and the insight into Brad that was gained by reading this; I am hoping that we'll see a softer side to him in the second book. He's sexual, we know that and I love that; but I am craving watching this man go a little sweet.

Arc provided via Netgalley in exchange for honest review

I know, I know, I'm a bad reader. The blurb clearly states that this should be read after Blindfolded Innocence (Innocence, #1), but I love to break rules, so I read this first just to get a sneak-a-peek on Alessandra Torre's writing, because most of my friends on GR can't stop raving about her books, so I requested this arc from Netgalley awhile ago, but with so many books on my shelves I didn't have time to read it properly until last night. This is my first book by her, but it got me intrigued.

Now, after reading it, I think that I didn't make a big mistake when I decided to read this first, because this is a short version (only 45 pages) of the 1st book in the Innocence Series written from the male point of view- Brad De Luca. That's why I don't think I've spoiled the 1st book that much.

The story was fast-paced, fun & steamy featuring a hot billonaire player and one of the interns at his firm. I enjoyed it, even though, at first, I was afraid that this will be one of those Fifty Shades Wannabes, but that was not the case with this book. Brad De Luca was a fun character to read about- one of those typical players with a certain dose of mystery about him from who every girl tries to stay away, but secretly wishes to be the one who'll change his wicked ways.

~ THE THINGS I LIKED THE MOST ABOUT THIS SHORT NOVELLA:

1. The poetic tone of the writing

2. The strong main female character

He was a senior partner, she an intern.
She should have wiped drool off her mouth and scampered in,
ready to assist him in any way that he deemed necessary.
But she didn't behave.
She was unimpressed, sarcastic.
Not swooned by Centaur's grandiose entrance
or the restaurant's exorbitant prices,
she had looked him in the eye when she spoke and called him out on his bullshit. She had been, simply put, fascinating.

Julie is not your typical female character. She might seem innocent and naive at first with her physical appearance, but the minute she opens her mouth you see how far from naive she is. She is smart, strong & she can see right through your bullshit, especially the one from Brad De Luca. The chemistry between them was palpable since the moment they saw each other for the first time, but she won't be one of those needy girls who'll chase after him when he starts to have commitment issues.

All in all- a fun, short read! The main reason for three stars rating is the shortness of the story. It left me wanting for more and it made me move up Blindfolded Innocence on my TBR next list.

"You are going to be so bad for me", she whispered.
"So bad"..."Tomorrow", she murmured. "Tomorrow, I'll stay away."

“It’s like you don’t want me, and you don’t want anyone else to have me. That’s bullshit, especially because you’re the fucking town slut!” (Julia)

Brad De Luca is what I need right now.
Reading through his point of view is one hell of pleasure. The Diary of Brad De Luca is a companion novella of the Innocence series. It gives us what's inside his head and why he becomes so attracted to Julia on Blindfolded Innocence.

“What do you want from me? You want me to spend a weekend with you, have you naked against me, your smile, your laugh, and then just cut you off?  Kiss you goodbye and then let anyone else have you? You want me to sit in my office and watch Todd ask you out? I’m not engineered that way. Maybe I am a territorial slut, as you put it. That might seem fucked up, but it’s who I am. I take what I want, and I own what I have. I’m just trying to figure out what you want.”
(Brad)

This novella is a short trip to understand De Luca better and to cure the need of a Masked Innocence that will be published on 2014.

**ARC received in exchange for an honest review**

The Diary of Brad De Luca was a really short story, told from the playboy attorney's POV but at the same time, it acutely highlighted the parts of Brad and Julia's tentative beginnings.
We get an insight into the workings of his mind and the unconventional way of perceiving all things relationship-related.
I'm not sure how this side of the story will influence the future comings and goings of their relationship but I'm willing to find out...
