From the Number One Best Selling Author Saxon Andrew comes the first book in his new Science Fiction Series, Juliette's Dream, Ashes of the Realm Book One. This new series covers the period after the destruction of the Star's Realm.
The Five Provinces have been left behind by the Stars Realm and civil war has broken out. Hundreds of thousands of planets have been decimated, and millions of others blasted back into primitive technology. Trillions have died, and the killing is far from over.
After two thousand years the survivors are barely eking out an existence on what remains of the once powerful Realm. Out of the ashes, a young Human will arise that will fight for the survival of his community and the giant Zord that fly the skies of the once powerful Provincial Capital, El Prado. The radioactive wastelands and millions of giant carnivores are the least of the community’s problems. Raiders from the stars are what must be faced by the brave archers to survive. Thousands have been killed and the raiders are coming again.

I hated myself for reading this series, as well as the previous series. The writing is awful, there is no character development, the themes are simply "good vs evil" and "redemption is possible," and the editing is shocking. Maybe the fact they were e-books explains all the typos, awful grammar (use of the word "drug" instead of "dragged"), and consistency mistakes. I was surprised to see there was an editor, because a 12 year old could have edited this book better!
OK - so I hated the books but read them ... because they were light, there was too much else going on in my brain, and they moved reasonably quickly. And besides, they will have allowed me to meet my 2012 Reading Challenge of 45 books. Pathetic, I know!
Very good. Quite similar in style to his other work. The "honor of the realm" and "I regret my sins" stuff got a bit over the top though, otherwise it would have gotten five stars.
