This delightfully interactive, adorably illustrated board book is designed with a dozen textures for tiny fingers to explore. Babies will discover words like bib , cereal , and high chair— all the necessary components for a successful breakfast. Each object is named in English, Spanish, and French. A delicious treat to pair with I Love to Sleep !
I love to eat by Amelie Graux is a great picture book for infants. In this book she uses basic words that younger babies are getting ready to use for example fork, spoon, chair, bib and more. When children hear words before they begin to speak it makes them want to say those words like mom and dad. I rated this book at four stars because I thought it was a good book to read to younger kids as they are eating. The book uses words that a child may consider while eating. I thought the book was durable for younger children, also the touch and feel was neat. What I thought was interesting was the fact that the words are also written in French and Spanish. I also think that this is great for kids to become familiar with other languages at a young age, even if they don’t understand. I think this will help when it comes to time where they need to learn other languages because they have heard some words before.
This and it’s partner book are awesome. It is perfect and appreciated by my toddler, but it is wonderful and very appropriate for my almost nine month old as well. I Love to Eat and I Love to Sleep are great reads for anytime as well as the “appropriate” time. With each pages filled with one more item of wonder and discovery. We’ve had a few Touch and Feel Books through out the last few years, but these two appear to be very durable and I’m excited to be able to share them with my daughters.
What a beautiful book. I think that some of the pieces will be ripped off, but I love the color palette and illustrations. I want to show it to little Henri.
Pretty straightforward, simple single word touchy feely book, but for some reason I can't put my finger on, I prefer these illustrations to most of toddler books I've seen.
the girls pick this one out from the library frequently. it is simple, one word per page, but attractive and some sensory is involved. also, each word has the Spanish and French version listed as well. the girls like to hear me butcher the pronunciation. :)
