I thought this was a great book. It had manys lines of imagery that made me think that I was actually there inside the character's mind. I liked the whole story and the different wolf names for important things. GREAT BOOK GOING TO READ THE NEXT ONE!!!
I am loving reading these books with my 8 year old. She loves the animals and I enjoy the descriptive writing. A welcome balance to books like Diary of a wimpy
I have finished books one and two, however it has been a perfect blend of detail, creativity, and length. Whereas the "Warriors" series is far too long this is just right, and where "A Dog's Life" assumed the animals knew too much, this created a world where animals did not live by human civilization similarities. I look forward to the next book in the series.
I absolutely loved this book! It was inspiring how Thunderheart took care of Faolan because she can't protect her own bear cubs! Definitely recommend this book to anyone!

Kathryn Lasky did a wonderful job in writing this book. Like the first of the series, it was thrilling and at the same time a very human-like story with human emotions. It was a very good book!
