Colin West has been writing and illustrating books for children as long as he can remember. He works in the attic studio of his house in Epping, England, which he shares with his wife, Cathie.
The book is pretty simply. However, I did like the section at the end of the book where they replaced the animal words with pictures of the animals. This a good way to get the kids interactive with the book and review what we just read.
This one is really cute and has really beautiful illustrations. The kids were calling out where the crocodile was the whole time and were very engaged. Perfect book for preschoolers.
This book is the best and my favourite book from being a child. I can remember listing to the book and first trying to read it. It's has to be my childhood memorie.
This is a nice repetitive book that helps the reader to read the words on their own with a surprise ending. It is about a parrot who asks a variety of animals that asks 'Have you seen the crocodile?' with a surprise at the end. This is a good book for young children to learn words and sounds through repetition.
This book is much more for early years around the ages of 5 - 7.
This book is suitable for early readers and allows children to make predictions on where the crocodile may be. The ending is unusual I thought for the this type of book. Repetition is used very well throughout the book and makes the book memorable for the reader. I would not highly recommend this book
This book is great for early readers as it allows them to make predictions such as "Where could the crocodile be, and what happened to all the other animals?" The good twist at the end will make readers laugh!
Story about a dragonfly, bumble bee, butterfly, hummingbird and frog who are all looking a crocodile, who is sneakily hiding. The repetition of 'have you seen the crocodile' is used for readers to remember what they are reading.
Mom's Review: This cute little book has repetitive text that can help beginners learn to read.
5 Year Old Review: I like the crocodile. I like the bumble bee, too. I like the drawings. The drawings are my favorite part. I want to make a book like this.
