My problem with this book is that it ended. Latrivia has done it again. OMG, I love this author.

This is the story of Nicola having to sell his soul to the devil to protect his family. The Medlov's are back and that is enough for me to spend $100.00 on this book. I LOVE the Medlov men - especially Anatoly. The bad thing about this book was that I was wanted more about every character. I wanted to know how Renee was doing after the baby. I wanted to know how Anatoly was handling being a father. I wanted to know what was up with Gabriel and Briggy. I wanted to know how Dmity's daughter was doing after the kidnapping. Man, I feel like I know these people and I love these Russian gangstas.

Looks like there will be another book, and I am grateful. I hope it doesn't take too long. But I know you can't rush perfection.

I have not read Ivy's Twisted Vine, but I had no trouble with this one. I have read all of the Medlov books though.

Please check out this author, she is AWESOME!!! Somebody needs to offer this woman a movie deal.

Latrivia wrote a movie I can see this book on the silver screen it has everything action, drama, sex, love, its passionate it’s a thriller. I have read all of the books by this author I can say I enjoyed the Medlov crime family books and I have loved Nicola Agosto since Ivy's Twisted Vine, this book is on a whole new level for this author. I enjoyed the story I liked seeing Agosto when he had the tools he needed to get the job done, the fact that he worked with The Medlovs was a treat that was truly genius on the authors part, every good guy has bad boy traits and vice verse in this book the author showed enough of each to make us care and understand why Nicola did what he had to do. I really enjoyed seeing the maturity in Ivy, because I have to admit I could not stand her in her last appearance ( Ivy's Twisted Vine), she grew into a woman who knew what she wanted and stood by her man when the world was against him. I hope this is not the last book with these characters working together and I have a feeling its not .I want to see what Nicola does with the request from Dmitry, I want to see if they will be friends or enemies.

Another action-packed installment of the Medlov/Agosto guys. I would've given it five stars, if not for the editing. Ivy is still pretty naive...but her budding friendship with Royal should harden her up a bit. And how the heck is she gonna work full time with SIX kids all under the age of 10? Can't wait to see who they hire for a nanny. Please, Latrivia, don't make us wait so long for the next volume! :-)

I loved this book. Ivy and Nicola's love story was great in Ivy's Twisted Vine but what I love in this book is the growth of first love and a strong sexual attraction to a realization of true and lasting love. I think Latrivia Nelson is fantastic in making you believe in love yet she adds reality into a relationship to deepen it. The couple's kids and the danger they face are the reality but Nicola and Ivy's unwavering faith and love in each other is phenomenal. It is great to see how Nicola has matured and I loved the return of familiar and beloved characters. I felt like I was right there with the characters in their treacherous situation and could not put the book down. I got the book yesterday evening and I turned the TV off and read the night away. I was just upset my books had not gotten to me for the long weekend as I had plans to read myself into a coma instead I stayed up late reading this to the end and starting another of Latrivia's books before I realized I had work today and needed to be able to function. So good-and well worth buying the paperback so I can re-read it over and over again!

I have waited and waited so long for this book and it was so worth the wait!...OMG it was so worth the wait. First off I will say how very much I loved the Medlov books! I hope that series goes on forever, but i was a little disapointed that there was not a sequel to Ivy's Twisted Vine b/c I loved the story on Nicola and Ivy and there was so much more to be told about the two, so needless to say to put these two together was pure genious! I loved this book! it was everything you could ask for with Ivy ,Nicola,Royal and Dimitri. my only complaint I would haved liked more story with the Medlovs( Renee and Anatoly for one) but was still worth the wait and one of the best books I have read in a while. i hope to see more with the Agosto and Medlov families soon!!!

Why oh why did I put off reading this book so long? I really thought I wouldn't like it because of the murder mystery with the deaths of the children, but I was pleasantly surprised. I should have known that any book that involved the Medlovs would have been killer, no pun intended. The murder mystery was just ok at first, but once Dmitry, Anatoly and Gabriel got involved, oh mama! I love my Medlov men! Ivy and Nicola are a good couple, but I kind of skimmed their love scenes. Likewise the one with Dmitry and Royal (I'm not a huge fan of Royal; I just can't help it). The romance between Luke and Carmen was good too. I'm also liking Steele for him. Wonder where Latrivia is going with those little glances between Boris and Ivy...hmmm, interesting to see Boris feeling unusually moved by Ivy, while not liking Nicola. Verrrry interesting. I kind of skimmed the end, with the actual take down, but it was good. Not really sure why people seem to think Gabriel is 'Satan 2'. It wasn't from anything I read in this book. He's nowhere near as crazy as Ivan. As a matter of fact, Anatoly has the sadism on lock, as far as the Medlov men go. No wonder he and Vasily are so close.

As usual, the editing needs work. I had to re-read lines a few times to figure out what the author was trying to say and there were lots of misspelled and missing words. Still this was a full length novel, and I really enjoyed the twists and turns. Looking forward to the next one!

Man! Now when I say this was good, this was good as hell! I couldn't put it down and didn't want to miss out on anything that was going on in the story. Nicola showed up and showed out in this one. I didn’t know who was the bad guy but I so wanted it to be Amway and the Deputy Director for some reason. There were so many things going on but the entire story was so action packed that it didn’t matter who was the bad guy all that mattered was seeing the Medlov men in action and seeing how far Nicola was willing to go. Loved it! The ending has me wanting even more and I can’t wait to read what’s next.

I love this book and the revisit of one of my favorite couples., Nicola and Ivy. The book was highly recommended and I can see why.

It was a page-turner for me and I just couldn't get enough. I must confess that I got nightmares though, but it was well worth it.

Things Are Not Always As They Seem

Contain SPOILERS!!!

First I must say that characters that we met in Ivy's Twisted Vine are the main characters in this book. As usual the storyline was great. The plot was well developed. The book was full of drama, intrigue, danger and love. There were awful things that happened to young boys involving a pedophile. There should have been a trigger warning for those who had been sexually abused or molested at a young age.

Ivy and Nicola return as the main characters. The other characters from Ivy's are only briefly mentioned. We meet new characters, some good and some bad. We're reminded that the good, they sometimes die young, especially those we want to live. There's not much backstory on the characters we meet, who are police officers. They're fully developed in those roles. You immediately love some, hate others and are ambiguous about others.

I loved Carmen, hated her brother Collins and was ambiguous about her dad, Director Magnelli. I later loved him after he made certain decisions at the end realizing he wasn't what he seemed. Loved Luke Johnson especially after he fell in love, lost her to death, viciously punished the one he thought responsible, risking his job. He came back to the job enthusiastic about going after the Medlovs. None of the characters that I disliked in Ivy's book showed up.

Ivy's character grew on you. Sometimes she still wanted her own way even with four children. She pretended to understand and accept what Nicola was doing. She seemed not to hear or understand that first and foremost for Nicola was the protection of his family then to honor his job responsibilities as a policeman. Even after meeting the mother of two of the victims, she empathizes so that she told Nicola to finish it. Still, she didn't accept that he could handle things. After he was set up and his reputation ruined, she did exactly what he didn't want her to do. She thought going on TV even telling the truth would resolve everything. She didn't seem to understand that she simply put herself and children in more danger. She and Nicola had a bitter argument. She had never seen him that angry and only then did she think she may have been wrong. It took an attack on her home where Nicola, herself and her twins were almost killed and her house burned down, before she realized she had to let Nicola handle it. Had it not been for the Medlov's guards, they would have been killed. They saved them from the fire and took them to Dmitry's home and still she wondered what Nicola had gotten them into. After Royal gave her s basket of toiletries and clothes, she still tried to question her about Nicola relationship with Dmitry. Royal told her that my husband’s business is just that. His. I can’t nor do I try to control it or him. Royal still had an affinity for Ivy. She also gave Nicola words of advice, Her husband way was the only way and he should learn that. Ivy and the children were sent to Florida on Dmitry's jet to be with Nicola's family who had security. Dmitry also had his people guarding them.

Nicola told Dmitry I’ll come and work for you for good, not because I want to but because if that means that I can use your resources to kill the m*****f****** responsible for trying to kill my kids and my wife, then it’s worth it. Dmitry said “You need guns. You need men. You wanted that woman, Roxie, located and you want revenge. " You need four things from me, and in return you will work for me.” Nicola agreed that he would work for him.

Not only did Nicola get all the resources including weapons, he also got the help of Anatoly, Gabriel, Vasily and lots of Dmitry's other men. They tortured, killed, blew up houses and companies and found all those responsible for coming after Nicola and his family and killed those young boys; and had fun and bonded while doing so. Both sides gained a new found respect and understanding of each other

Nicola reputation is not only restored, but he's promoted to Deputy Chief, his house is rebuilt and, his family is brought back to Memphis. His friend and cop, Luke Johnson, wants to go after the Medlovs. They're bringing a Munitions Plant to President's Island in Memphis. Royal offered Ivy the job of V. P. of Marketing Director of same factory which would be run by Gabriel. Nicola was asked for a favor by Dmitry having to do with the Munitions Plant and has nothing to do with Ivy's job.

What will Nicola do? We know he's a man of his word but he said he wouldn't turn on his policemen. How will this be resolved? Do Ivy and Nicola finally have a girl or another boy? Will Ivy be able to work for the Medlovs without getting caught up in anything criminal? How will Nicola deal with the policeman and FBI agents who work for Dmitry? Several of them helped Nicola accomplish his goals with no questions and he knew all of them. Would read another book that resolves these and other issues.

Fantastic!!

ObLIGED!!I am so in love with this story and this series, that when I started reading it felt like coming home to old friends. This was so a wonderful way to reintroduceNicola and Ivy and giving us a taste of the Medlov family. This was such a really good story of a man pushed to the breaking point.I love the way we get such a sexy, loving and mature relationship. We get to see two people navigate there lives around there careers and the way they sometimes spill over into their lives. With this story you are going to get the full monty from romance to mystery and such good humor thrown in to complete the circle. If you are not familiar with this series you are definitely missing out on good reading. If you don't remember Nocola's involvement with Medlov family then I suggest you pick it up from the first book in the series. This was just plain old good reading and a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.

Good book

I am really impressed with this author. This book seamlessly tells the story of a Memphis detective who finds himself needing the Medlov family to save the lives of his wife and children after spending many years trying to pull the Medlovs down. Crime and crooked politicians topped off with crooked and greedy cops can make you do things you never thought you would do. Dimitry Medlov continues to be unmatched and always at the top of his game. Entertaining, engaging, and certainly worth reading.

Enjoyed!

Great Read, loved the storyline and I would recommend this book. I am glad everyone got what they deserved. I would have thought Nicola would have been more civil towards Dmitry in the end. When he went to him for help, he gave him a choice all he had to was say no. Frankly I know Dmitry is no saint but after all he put Dmitry threw I don't know if I could have help him. Then he's going to catch an attitude when he calls for his favor.

Another great read

Another great story by LN, I loved the growth of Ivy's character, Nicola is surely one BadAss. Though at times he struggles with "doing the right thing," he doesn't waste time pondering over it. He is a man dedicated to his family!
This book is really intense, fast paced and not one for the faint of heart as, it truly depicts the human condition..

Another great read. I really loved Nicola and Ivy's story. The intrigue of who were the mole(s) in the MPD and getting the true culprit behind the Baby Boy Raped and Murders was a real page turner.

Loved, loved, loved this book. I was riveted from beginning to end. Ivy and Nicola are one of my favorite couples. In their first book, "Ivy's Twisted Vine", they weren't officially in a relationship until the very end, but in this book we get to see their relationship thrive. They have a beautiful family and Nicola is very dedicated to his wife and children and although he puts in long hours on the job, his family is what makes him a man. Ivy is sweet, caring and thoughtful and she also knows how to put Nicky in his place when need be.

When Nicola is put on a high profile case, he's set up and loses his job and he almost loses his family after they are targeted by his enemies. Usually Nicola is a "by the rules" kind of guy, but after he nearly loses everyone he loves, he turns the tables and he becomes a total bad ass. He sells his soul to the devil for revenge and boy does he get it in spades. There were moments when I wanted to cry for Ivy and Nicky with what they went through, but they always had each other's backs and Ivy wanted to protect her man just as much as he wanted to keep her safe.

"This will always be your home. Not some building or some geographic location on a map", she said into his hear. Sinking her nails into his skin, she stole his attention. "Right here, in me. For as long as I have breath, this is your home, Nicola. No where else and with no one else on this earth."

This couple was so damn sweet and dedicated to each other.

Dmitry and Royal also made and appearance with their extended families. There were so many alpha males and a whole lot of sexy going on and I loved revisiting my old favorite characters and the action scenes were great.

I would have given this book 5 stars, but it needed more editing. There were numerous spelling and grammar mistakes, names were mixed up and I had to reread passages due to the errors. Luckily this author can tell the hell out of a story because with any other author I probably would not continue to read their books due to lack of editing.

This was a crime drama - more so than an actual romance and that's okay with me. There are some romances that are risky now and I must say, this was fine by me, close enough. I've never read Latrivia Nelson, but I wanted to give her works a try and must say, that I did rather enjoy it. I have been to Memphis many times, and have quite a bit of family living there, so I was ready for it. I did a review at Amazon and here it is...
==========================
Amazon Review...

This is the first of Latrivia Nelson's works that I've read. I have Ivy's Twisted Vine and never read it. Hahahaha, and here I read the second part, soooo I'm going to have to go back now and read the beginning. In any case, I enjoyed this one. There were times however that I felt irritated by the constant, 'Screaming' of men, instead of, 'Shouted, Shouting, Bellowed, blazed, growled, barked... there were so many other words that could have been used instead of tough men, constantly SCREAMING... please think about that Mrs. Nelson.

For some reason, due to her bestselling status, I also thought the book would have been more polished than it was. I always feel bad about my own publications when I miss typos, make grammatical errors and I can't wait to be in a position to afford a proof-reader. As I'm not YET - a best seller, I can't afford a proofer, but I have the help of beta-readers. Anyway, I don't feel so bad about my own boo-boos anymore. Having said that, I will certainly do my best to clean up my mess before it's released, but as we authors know, it's easier said than done.

As for the story, yeah - nice story. While I could put it down, as soon as time allowed, I was picking it right back up again, so that's a good sign. I can't say how many books I've started and couldn't finish because the story just wasn't doing it for me. So if you like a good police story, with a bit of bad/good guys thrown in and all the action as well, here you go. It goes without saying, that I will be reading more of Latrivia Nelson's work - ie; Ivy's Twisted Vine, lmbo... *wink*

I have not read Ivy's Twisted Vine, but enjoyed the look into the life of Nicola and Ivy. I am a fan of the Medlov series and can't wait for the next book.

Although Nicola is the focus of the story we get a look into the life of his partner in the Baby Boys case( Luke Johnson)and a peak into what the Medlov family is up to and some of their connections.

Hope the next book has more insight into the relationships of Anatoly & Renee and Gabriel & Briggy. We get a quick look at how Anya's kidnapping has affected the family and hope we get a more in depth look in the future book or books.

In The World In Reverse we get a healthy dose of action and humor.I have fallen for Nicola and can't wait to see how he combines his old life with his new life and if he can keep all the promises he has made.
I was happy with the story and I am ready for the next book about the bad boys and the ladies in their lives.

FINALLY...... All of our favorite characters are back: Ivy, Nicola, Dmitry, Anatoly, Gabriel, Cory and we've been introduced to some new ones, mainly Luke... This story was more about doing what you believe is right more than good vs. evil! And there were definitely some evil things happening! It grabbed you in from the very beginning and had you rooting for Nicola the entire time. I'm going to be honest and say that what Nicola ending up doing because he believed it was right and he had no other choice SHOCKED ME! After rooting so much for Nico and Ivy in Ivy's Twisted Vine, it was refreshing to know they were still sticking it out and fighting everyday to keep their love strong. Although the book was over 700 pages, it didn't feel like it and when it ended it left you wanted more. Let's just say, I am again excited that the Agosto/Medlov story will continue and I hope that we won't have to wait too long for that one! GREAT BOOK!

I liked the book alot. Loved Nick and Ivy, the Medlov's (but for some reason I seem to like Royal less with each book...go figure). I'm totally little surprised at Gabriel . And the ending was a cliffhanger. I HATE cliffhangers (and trilogies)! I thought this book would tie up the Medlov/Agosto storyline, but I guess not. Another problem was the grammar and spelling. There is a bunch of errors in the book that sometimes are distracting. Other than that, The story did flowed nicely as is could being that it was a freaking cliffhanger!

What an Epic story. Not what I expected at all. Nicola has to be the epitome of a strong hero with a soft spot for the woman he loves. He and Ivy were truly a team in every aspect of the word. I didn't expect so much suspense, but I loved it. I was guessing what would happen next at every turn and was constantly in for a surprise. I didn't expect to see Dimitri, Anatoly, and Gabriel in this book but was glad I did. What Nicola had to do going to them you had to respect it. It'll be interesting to see how that partnership plays out in the future. As always this saga is excellent and I can't wait to read what happens next.
