My goodness I loved this story. This is totally one of my favorite romance themes... single dad falls in the love with the Nanny. It was perfection! There are always a million hurdles when two people, coming from past hurts/heartbreak to find themselves starting to open up again. And we see this with Drew and Stephanie. He is fighting a custody battle with an Ex-wife. And she is hiding away from and abusive ex-boyfriend. Neither of them are looking for love, and even as it seems possible they don't trust their hearts, given their past. What they do know is that they are becoming all too accustomed to each others presence. And the twins are loving having Stephanie and Drew around. But can it work out? Can they get past their fears and open up to each other? Will Drew be able to win his custody battle and Stephanie finally get away from her ex for good?! You'll have to read it to see... but you will LOVE this LOVE story!
Of the books in this series, this one has the most resemblance to an old-time mail-order bride. It's not that Stephanie answered an ad for a bride, definitely NOT, but she answered an ad for a nanny. Her move from New Jersey to Serendipity couldn't have been more perfect either because she very much needed to gain self-confidence and also get grounded in her faith. Serendipity is a perfect setting for both needs as well as being a perfect setting for romance.
This is a very good story with great character and a good storyline this is the third story in this series now moon to the next story. Happy reading everyone
I was very blessed & lucky to be able to get one of the first copies of this book. It is the 3rd book in Deb Kastner's "Email Order Brides" series. I have loved every single one of these books. The other books in the series are Phoebe's Groom & the Doctor's Secret Son. I found myself getting very involved with all of these characters and wanting to read more about them. In The Nanny's Twin Blessings, Stephanie is hired to take care of Drew's 3 yr old twin boys. He is going through a tough situation and Stephanie has just come out of a very tough situation. Drew & Stephanie learn to depend on each other as more than an employer/employee relationship. Drew is an amazing father who has given up on every finding true love for himself, only the love that he has for his boys. Stephanie, who has grown up in foster care & was in a very bad relationship, learns what it is like to be part of a real family.
I highly recommend reading all three of the books in this series!
Thanks Goodreads Firstreads for another good read.
Stephanie has left her bad relationship to go be a nanny for a divorced school teacher's twins. Drew had a bad relationship and now he is fighting for custody of his twins. He is spending the last of his pension on hiring a nanny to watch out for the boys until the school year is over and hopefully the court case where he hopes to win his boys.
Stephanie was a very sweet character she loved to cook, clean, help people out and loves children. At times she seemed a little too good to be true. She seemed to always be happy and because of her upbringing I felt she always strived to please other people. The situations she had been in didn't destroy her spirit but helped her become a better person and helped the Spencer family become a happier family.
Stephanie, or Stephie to the little kids, leave NJ for Serendipity, Texas to be a nanny. Leaving her abusing boyfriend behind, can she find a real home in Texas? Drew is looking for a nanny for his twin sons after his wife divorces him. Can he keep custody of the boys with Stephanie's help?
